10 months post-op, pregnant and scared =(
So i am 10 months post-op, my partner and i had been very safe about sex and were using condoms and Plan B ....
I started getting sympthoms about 2 weeks ago whi*****lude frequent urge to pee and very tender breast (which i have never gotten, not even during my period) so i waited a week and took a pregnancy test at home which came out inconclusive so i waited 3 more days and got a positive.
My doctor confirmed last monday that i am indeed pregnant but when she did the ultrasound, nothing was visible. She said there are many possible reasons for this...
She is very certain that i am pregnant because of the test and my symptoms but believes i could either be very early on in the pregnancy or could be having an ectopic pregnancy since nothing was visible in the uterus.
I have to wait another 3 weeks before she does another ultrasound but has expressed some concern due to the fact that i have already had 2 pregnancies that ended in miscarriages during the first trimester (before my RNY)....
I'm scared because i believe i am still early post-op and i am still losing weight (not as fast as the beginning but still losing) and i am scared this pregnancy might end like my previous ones =(
And to top it of, my partner and i seperated 2 weeks ago, exactly 2 days before i started experiencing the symptoms....
Has anyone else been pregnant this early on? Or had anything similar happen?

Wow...you are going through a lot right now. I would try to just take it one day at a time and whatever will be, will be. I actually had a postitive test and my numbers were low...it turns out that I ovulated late so according to the LMP I should have been farther along, but I was really 2 weeks behind. So no worries...you never know. Good luck!
It's a girl !! Robyn Marie...!

I got pregnant 9 months out of VSG and the baby is (so far...fingers crossed) healthy. There is no way your RNY would cause you to miscarry. During the 1st trimester the baby isn't getting any nutrition from you - the placenta takes over around week 12. Best of luck to you - I hope everything turns out perfect. Take care of yourself.
I started at 324lbs and a size 26. After losing 100 lbs, I became pregnant with my first daughter, who was born in March 2011. My second daughter was born in September 2013. I have maintained a healthy lifestyle and now hover around 160lbs. I would like to get back to the 140lbs before I became pregnant with my second daughter. The sleeve literally gave me LIFE - two beautiful, healthy little girls. My husband had his VSG with Dr. Marema on 10/1/2012 and is on his weight loss journey, currently down 90lbs.
I will be one year out on September 21 and am almost 27 weeks pregnant. Found out in early April I was pregnant and was scared too. I finally stopped losing weight about a month ago and maintained. I have gained only 3 pounds. It's not that you shouldn't get pregnant so early out but sometimes if you are still losing rapidly it can hamper things. As long as you follow through with doctor's orders you will be fine. You actually are better off now than you were before the surgery so no worries. Things will work out as they are supposed to. Good luck with everything.
