How soon did your period return after weaning?

Noah is now offically weaned (7 months old).     He finally quit biting me (as much), but he lost interest in nursing.   And honestly so had I, so I didn't insist that he continue to nurse.

I've not had a period since the post parturm bleeding left.     I never thought I would say this, but I'm ready for my period to come back!   I don't like have the hormones of a menopausal women.  My husband really doesn't like it lol.

I breastfed Hannah for 11 months, but I had a period almost the entire time.  

So if you didn't have a period while breastfeeding, how soon did it come back after you stopped?

I got mine when Bella was 3 month. Then again at 6 month and at 7 months. Last month I bleed for a month. So they are still crazy. I still BF Bella 5-6 times a day. The Dr said until I am done BFing anything is game when it comes to my period. I would say give it a month and then ask your Dr about it. If you want it back I'm sure there are things to give you to get it back.

I nursed the first baby for exactly one year, period didnt return for almost 6 months after that.  2nd nursed for 10 months, period returned 4 months after.  I know what you  mean about the hormones though!!  It's really variable when menses returns.  Good luck to you!
