I <3 my husband!

So, I've been having a little anxiety over my husband's reaction to my being pregnant. Over the past 2 years, he has heard me cry and sob time and time again about wanting to have my own child...for those that don't know...we have 3 girls..the oldest isn't biologically either of ours, but my husband has been "daddy" since she was 8 months old and we have custody of her and the other 2 are his biological children with his ex-wife (who btw has been absent for the past 2 and a half years after loosing the girls to CPS custody not once but twice for neglect and abuse both times my husband was in Iraq)! I've gotten overly emotional when it comes to the girls because I see a mother who was capable of bringing three of the MOST beautiful, loving girls into this world and wants nothing to do with them except to constantly be a thorn in our sides. It broke my heart for these girls because I've longed for years to smoother my own biological child with love. However, I was perfectly happy being the best step-mom I could to them and my husband and I have given them the most stable and loving environment we possible can since we got custody of them in 2008. And the shock of this wonderful suprise just crept up on us.

So, anywho...back to the topic. :) He says he's excited and he's happy that he's finally been able to give me a child of my own. However, it wasn't until last night that he made me overjoyed! We were laying in bed and he rubbed my belly and then curled up against me. He pulled me close, put his hand on my belly and said..."come here I wanna hold my BABIES!" I almost instantly teared up at the sound of the words coming from his mouth. He is honestly the best husband I could ask for! He works 6 days a week to provide for us all and now I am assured that even though he's a bit reserved he's definitely excited about the baby also! :) He even made me laugh the other night when we were watching tv and there was a baby commercial and he said "oh no, I'm really gonna do this again!" LOL

Men...they're creatures of a different sort, but I know I love mine and he loves me!!

I have an amazing hubby too :) He has been SO wonderful through this pregnancy. He spoils me and he is SO bonded to our baby. I love laying in bed snuggled together with our baby kicking us LOL! It really has been amazing! Enjoy...before you know it your pregnancy will be over. I can't believe how close mine is to ending!

Thanks Jackie! I'm going to milk it for all its worth lol! I got a "me" day on Saturday...2 hours of just me going to get a mani/pedi and came home to a clean house and a husband and 3 kids busting their butts to get the yard cleaned as well just to surprise me. I can't wait to get to the kicking stage! The girls are so excited too and just thrilled to be adding a new baby to the bunch. We're definitely a mixed family, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Hope the rest of your pregnancy is smooth and you have an easy "labor" day :)

I also raise my three step kids. I'm 31 and I have a 19, 16 and 15 year old step kids. It's not easy at all! I also have my 11 year old boy. Even though it's hard raising step kids. I LOVE them. I can't imagine them not in my life. They have not seen their mom is 9 years. She is a piece of crap to put it nicely. I've had them in my life now for almost 4 years. We have our good days and our bad days. This baby is for sure the tying knot to our family :)

How cute! He sounds like a great guy.

I got lucky too. My hubby works at home and insists on changing all my son's poopy diapers so I won't  get sick, makes dinner almost every night, and helps me deep clean the house on weekends. That's on top of being sole provider. Plus he gets super upset if I try to lift anything heavier than 10 lbs (with the occasional exception of our son when he is in mommy  mode, but even then if  I start breathing hard, he is quick to snatch him up so I don't get winded.)

Isn't it great to have a sweet hubby.

Awww...it's definitely a great thing to have a supportive and loving other half. My husband isn't the super romantic type or anything, but he has his moments. You're very lucky on the diapers thing...I'm currently ****il the end of this week :( and for the last 2 months) the guardian for my friend's little girl who is 2. She's a doll baby and I'm going to miss her like crazy, but hubby is against the poopy diapers!! LOL

, most men are against the dreaded poopy. In fact, my hubby used to  complain like crazy when I made him change one before. It wasn't until I got really sick in the first trimester that he decided to change them all. He really is sweet. (Though my son says "ooooh nasty" when  my DH changes him now because he's heard it so often. )
