Trying not to freak out!

I have a scheduled appt with a new OB on Tuesday.

That being said, I've been crampy the last week or so.  No big deal, I thought I was starting my period soon, didn't happen, took a test Sunday, & lo & behold, it was positive.

So I'm still crampy.  Thought it was more psychosomatic than anything.  Still on the watch though.  Started spotting today.  Ugh.

Took another test when I got home, still positive.  Still some bloody mucus.  Ugh.

I plan on resting a LOT tomorrow, before I work again on Friday (I'm a RN).

Just had to vent.

Don'[t forget that there are a number of reasons why you might cramp or spot in the first trimester. Your body is going through lots of changes.
Good luck.

My logical, nurse side knows that.  The other side doesn't!  No spotting this morning.  Still crampy, but like I said, I have been.  I spotted for 4-6 weeks with the 1st one too.

I had cramps and spotting the first 8-10 weeks. The fertility specialist and my OB both said that it happens in 2% of all pregnancies. I guess you and I are the lucky two out of 100! I am now 21 weeks and the baby is doing fine. Good luck! I know what you are going through- it is VERY unnerving! remember too that implantation bleeding is VERY common as well- you may be still going through the implantation phase.

Ditto what the PPs said. I had spotting but then I had full on bleeding for about a week and we still had a very precious delivery...hope all goes well. Keep your thoughts positive as much as possible.

I spotted too and it turns out that I wasn't as far along as I would be according to my LMP..I ovulated later than normal..either way, they say that it is normal to spot as long as it doens't get clotty...COngrats and good luck!

I had the problem with spotting too - even got all depressed and upset, thinking I had gotten my period... then started to wonder when I realized it wasn't a full blown period!

Hang in there!
