BIRTH CONTROL HELP

I go for my 6 week post partum visit on this Monday.

BC will be the question!

So what do you ladies use? I have used the nuvaring for a couple months between Max and Sydnee but did not like it at all.

Never really had to use it before.

I will be getting an IUD again after my baby is born. I had my other one for 5 years. I never had any trouble at all with it.

I am in your boat! Carter is 8 weeks - when I went to my 6wk appointment my OB gave me the Nuva Ring  - and had my insurance check on mirenia IUD pricing (it would cost me $10 - that is it!) but I am on the fence. So since I have PCOS (mild) I emailed my reproductive endo and he said he likes ortho cyclen  - so waiting for my period to start so I can start my pill. I remember after having #1 my OB asking me about BC - I said, oh no, I have never had to use that before I am sure we will be fine.... she said, see you in 6 months - she was right! LOL!

Oh I thought after WLS that the pill does not work as well.
I was thinking about the depo shot.

I had the Paragard IUD (no hormones) for a year and loved it. Every birth control before then had made me moody and gain weight. The Paragard made my periods a little heavier and 5 days instead of 3, but I am sooooo getting it again!

I was on BC pills from before my WLS until we started to TTC and started back on them again after Amelia came. I am on ortho tri-cyclen.

Are you planning on having more babies?    I had my tubes tied and I'm loving it!

My mind says no more babies but my heart says maybe 1 more. My hubby would love a housefull.

In that case I would go with an IUD.   I had the mirena for two years before Hannah was concieved and loved it.   I tried it again afterwards and had to have it taken out after a few months.   The Dr. said it wasn't in the right place and was trying to expel itself.    I was going to give it a few months and then try another one.    A few months went by and then I got pregnant with Noah lol.

Same here!!!! That is why I decided against and IUD
