A few things...
My DH and I have been TTC since June. While this may not seem like a long time, I figured I may as well have him get his swimmers tested to rule him out and make sure he's okay on his end.
I have also been having some issues with my current Obgyn. I haven't really been confident with the entire practice since my preconception consultation with them. Not to mention the office is consistently overbooked, the lines are nearly always busy and the staff is short. So I am switching my Obgyn in the midst of TTC and hoping this new doctor can give me insight as to why I've been getting cysts and why my periods have not been regular since I was a teenager. I would like some clarity and maybe some reasoning behind why rather than just be given "well every woman is different." There has to be more than that. And hopefully testing of some sort should follow. It has been ruled out that I do not have PCOS, which is a good thing. The cysts I have been getting have been larger and sporadically appear.
Hubby's appt. is on Monday the 11th and my appt. is on Monday the 18th. I figured I should have him go sooner so I can be prepared to provide my new Obgyn the results of his tests.
Please wish us luck. Thanks ladies.

Good luck! If you lived in Texas I could give you all kinds of names of amazing dr's...lol I hope they find out what's going on and that it isn't a big deal at all. I used Fertility Friend .com and got pregnant the first month (first time actually). It's worth the small membership fee I think. In addition to seeing an RE and my regular OB to make sure everything was "in proper order".

Good luck! I feel for your situation and I think being proactive and switching OBs now is great! I had my first child with an OB I felt was just OK, and had my 2nd child with an OB I absolutely LOVED, and what a difference it made!
During your TTC time and your first pregnancy, you will probably have lots of questions (esp. being a post-WLS patient) and you will want an OB who will be patient, take the time to explain things to you and explore your medical and/or fertility issues to your satisfaction.
This is kinda personal, but if you are using lube (like KY, Astroglide, etc), it can make it harder to get pregnant.... that's the first thing I would cut out if you've been using it. I tried for 3 months to get pg with my 2nd kid to no avail... then I tried a sperm-friendly lubricant called PreSeed (you can get it at CVS) and I got pregnant right away... they also have another kind called PreConceive that I think is available at WalMart.
(I think I'm going to use the PreSeed on my next cycle TTC#3 in fact :))
Best of luck!
