Well of course you're a hot mess. It's normal to be after a miscarriage; the loss sends your hormones, not to mention your emotions for a ride. Obviously you are aware of the situation. So make the appointment, and get your fill so you can do something that will make you feel better. WLS patients have issues with food and our tools help us deal with them, but in no way make them go away. I say, suck it up and get back on track. I don't mean to be harsh, and it may come across this way, but.... you know you need to. I would also recommend some medication to deal with the emotional stuff for a little bit. When I miscarried (for the second time) my son, I was a wreck for 9 months. I put on a lot of weight (pre- RNY) and couldn't function well. I took lexapro and after 3 days of medication I suddenly felt normal again.
Get yourself in check, physically and emotionally. Never forget the baby that you lost, but allowing it to control your life is not good either.
Help yourself, and then try again.
