Lurker, need some advice/questions

Congrats. I just got my bfp to and edd of 6/23. I am NOT anywhere near goal and two years out. I am so excited for you. It seems so surreal after trying for nine years for us. I have a son that will be 10 in March, so I am a little nervous on the age difference, but I am sure all will be fine

Yea for us! I am glad to have a couple of women who are due around the same time as I am an are in a similar position in terms of being far from goal. We should definitely keep in touch and keep each other posted about how things are going. Congrats to both of you!!

Congrats! What a blessed surprise! It's totally fine to be pregnant before you get to your WLS goal weight. I'm TTC next month and I'm still about 22 lbs away from my goal. But my bari surgeon gave me the green light. Work with your obgyn and he/she should give you your weight goal during pregnancy. When I was 300+ lbs, the goal was to not gain any weight during pregnancy (I didn't get pg back then.) But now at my current BMI, I think my goal will be to gain no more than 20 lbs during pregnancy.

Congratulations! Everything will be fine. There are several on the boards here that weren't as far out of surgery as you.

Maybe you already answered this, but what kind of birth control were you using. After my RNY surgery I had an IUD put in since they said we wouldn't absorb all of the birth control pills, making them not as effective.

Again, congratulations. Here's to an uneventful pregnancy for you!

Thank you.  I am hoping for an uneventful one too.

I was using BC pills and had been since right after surgery.  Apparently they were working that entire time, but decided not to work now.  Oh well, can't change it now, lol.  And I don't think I would want to now.
