Hey Nikki, I did become pregnant in my 6th month post RNY and now I'm a little over 20 weeks, so bascially going on 5 months pregnant. I guess I can't provide you with how weightloss went after having baby, as I'm still pregnant, but because I was only 6 months out my body is getting thinner and I've only gained 1lb so far. My body wants to lose, but my pregnancy is saying NO NO.

I had some complications with Iron deficiency and ketones in my urine at first. I had to go from a 800 calorie a day HIGH Protein diet low to no carbs...to a 1600+ calorie a day diet and needed to add more carbs to my diet to stay out of ketosis. Ketosis is very dangerous to a growing fetus. I wouldn't recommend to anyone to get pregnant this early out as increasing my calories was a challenge and the malabsorbtion worries me everyday.

So far no really huge complications and they did do my anatomy scan and baby is growing just fine.

I GOT PREGNANT 6 MONTHS OUT AND I AM 32 WEEKS. I HAD SOME PROBLEMS LIKE LOW IRON, AND I ALSO HAVE HAD SOME DIZZY SPELLS AND FAINTED A COUPLE OF TIMES FROM LOW BLOOD PRESSURE ONE TIME AND IDK WHAT HAPPEN THE OTHER TIME. I STILL AT 32 WEEKS GET LIGHT HEADED AND DIZZY BUT I JUST HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT. GOOD LOOK!!

Hi,

I didn't get PG 6 months post surgery; I did much sooner.  I had my surgery on June 30th 2005 and found out I was PG on Sept 24, 2006 (after I lost 45 lbs).  I continued to lose weight until the last 3 months and maintained at 225 lbs.  I lost the 30 lbs after my daughter's birth but have gained about 20 lbs. back.  A lot was from bad eating, lack of exercise and lossing my job.

I was classified as High Risk but we both turned out very well.  I had an easy pregnancy and she was such a 'good baby'.  My Sunshine.

Good Luck!
