Did you take the GD test?

My surgeon told me I wasnt allowed to do the glucose test, which was fine with me! I really cant handle sugars at all. Before pregnancy it wasnt too bad, but once I got pregnant everything made me sick and dump.

I had asked my OB yesterday for the third time this pregnancy how they were going to monitor my sugar levels to make sure I dont get GD and he told me that I would just do a finger ***** at every visit from now on... Sound right?

I didn't do one.  They made me check my own blood sugar 4 times a day for two weeks.

Yep, that sounds right to me...I told my doc up front I wasn't/couldn't do the glucose test and they have no problems with that...I will have to fast then get my blood drawn to check.

I do fasting blood sugar draws and nothing else unless something shows up. No drink for me

I did mine twice, and as a non dumper, I dumped the first time, and they made me re take it! I told them I was refusing the second time, but they then would not allow me to check out till I did it.

I did my test with apple juice rather than the glucola stuff. Much better tasting, but still made me feel nauseous and not good for quite a while... but I passed, so that was good
