Hello everyone! My name is Laura and I had RNY about three years ago. My husband and I are trying to have a child. If we are successful it will be my first! But I do have a question...we have been trying for about three months now and I have missed my period this month...took a pregnancy test with my first morning urine and the result was a very faint line in the positive and a line in the negative which according t thdirections indicates a positive pregnancy. I was just wondering if anyone else had a faint line and wound up with it being a true positive? I don't want to get my hopes up tooo much and I will retest in a couple days but my boobs are really full and sore and that doesn't usually happen with my mentsraul cycle...any insight??

Thanks ! Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Laura

Hi there! And welcome to the board! Faint lines more and likely mean a positive, but I think giving it a little bit and retesting again will help you feel better. What kind of test did you use? Some tests are more sensitive then others. I got a faint line on a Dollar Store test, but had a nice dark line on an Early Predictor First Response. Best of luck in you're trying to conceive and fingers crossed that you in fact have gotten your BFP!!! :)

Yippeee! That's my first reaction! I faint positive line is still a positive, and it will get darker as your pregnancy progressses. I had negatives on dollar store tests, and then big, glaring positives on the Up and Up Target brand the same day!
This is my second pregnancy, I have an 18 month old. Looking forward to seeing you around!

I got a "PREGNANT" on the digital tests I took, but when I took the standard one at the clinic, it was so faint, it looked like it was negative. I would say retest with a digital just to know for sure, It will tell you, so hopefully no guessing there.

Welcome Laura -

Go POAS with a digi and confirm it, but it sounds like you are indeed pregnant!  Congrats.  I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Hi Laura and welcome!  I'm with the rest of the girls.... sounds like a BFP to me, but go get a digital test and try it again in the morning.

Congrats on the huge weight loss too!
