Is this normal or am I coming down with something?

Sorry to bug everyone...but I am having a difficult time eating anything since this weekend.
Over the weekend, I thought indigestion.
Then yesterday I woke up feeling like my whole body had been put through the ringer. By the end of the day I was okay...but every time I tried to eat something, it tried to come back up.
I could barely drink anything without the same response.

About 8:30 last night I did get to eat a little fried rice...but then felt ucky again shortly after.

Today...I got through my coffee and tried 3 small pieces of fruit-felt like my stomach was on fire!!!  I am trying to just get through my tea (watered down) and I ate a few peanuts. Which were okay at the time but now I'm hating.

I'm hungry but I feel so crummy I can't eat anything. No headache, no fever...all tummy.
I don't know if this is me trying to get sick...or if it's the pregnancy?

Any suggestions or thoughts would be super totally appreciated.

On a good note...appt with perinatologist went great. Stress test passed. Baby is measuring a little over a week ahead, 68th percentile, 3 lbs 14 oz....healthy, happy, and active.

Thanks in advance!!!

It might be that the baby changed positions and is laying on your organs weird. I went through that for a week or so, too. During that time, I definitely couldn't drink coffee or have anything acidic because it gave me major acid. Maybe just stick with bland or easily digestable foods until this passes. Since you don't really have any other symptoms, it doesn't sound as if you're getting sick. At least, I hope not!

Thanks Mandy. I really hope that's all it is...
Funny thing, he is still in the head down position and pretty much has been the entire pregnancy!!  Guess he likes the head rush!  LOL

Thanks again :-)

I would still give your OB a call... it might be something serious, or it could be that the baby is messing up your digestion. Still dehydration is a risk, and you should just let them know.

Just my opinion.

I called them yesterday about 4:30 when I got off of work...no one has called me back yet.

At least I am feeling better today...I can finally eat without it feeling like it's coming back...still small portions, but better than nothing at all.

I'm trying doubly hard to push fluids today too.

Thanks for the help  :-)

Not sure about where you're at, but I got a phone call today from the girls' school nurse. Apparently, there are a fe different types of stomach bugs going around and 2 out of the 3 girls made trips to the nurse today for upset tummies. They said they aren't hungry and can't eat much and they feel like they have to go to the bathroom, but then they go, feel better, and then slowly start feeling yucky again...so it could be something going around your area.

Also, I'm like Mandy I had the same thing, I posted a thread on here about not having an appetite, so might just be that time. I was around 30 or so weeks...and my little guy has been head down basically from the get go too :)  I swear if he turns I'll scream LOL  I tell everyone I'm going to have to get a bar to hang from his crib so he can feel like he did when he was in there growing LOL

Hope you're feelin better soon!!

Kerri,
I think I remember you posting about not being able to eat too....maybe it is just that part of the trimester....at least I'm getting some food in me today...it's an improvement.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing about being head down...kind of funny that he would choose that position. It also explains why his kicks are so numerous and powerful. Sometimes I feel like he's trying to kick out a rib or something.

Hmmm, that's interesting about the girls. I hope they are feeling better.
(TMI)-but I finally had a mvmt yesterday and realized I hadn't since Friday. It was immediate that I felt better...I still couldn't eat dinner last night. But today I do feel considerably better. May just be coincidence.

Thanks again for all the help  :-)
Hugs to the girls!!

Well, LOL, they both HAD to go see the nurse and all, but it turns out the second I mentioned I was in the mood for pizza but with the upset tummies- be best to avoid that food for the night...oh mom we don't feel that bad!!! LOL imagine that!!??

Needless to say, last night and tonight the tummy rumbles were forgotten. Me on the other hand- ya...the constipation factor is starting to make me insane. I'm going to start taking a stool softener at night per my dr's advice because I'm becoming very infrequent and very much wanting to go. It in fact is getting to the point where it's painful to go and don't want to bring on those hemmorhoids!

I think I'm ready to be done now LOL!!   I was feeling extremely snappy this morning and every little thing was stressing me out, but hubby got up early and we went to the mall and had lunch together. We haven't had ANY alone time since he started this new job in july and it was so nice that it definitely turned my mood around!! :)

Glad you're feeling a little bit of relief! I hope I get some number 2 relief myself soon LOL

Funny how resiliant kids are....LOL

I hear you on the hemmorhoids. Unfortunately I've had mine for awhile now and while yucky, they aren't sore...(most of the time). But I'll be glad when they go away. I need to remember to get some over the counter stuff for them. The doc gave me a pricey script for them...but it's a foam and requires insertion *** yeah, he** no-thank you, I braved it for 2 doses and gave up).

You have 5 weeks to go. You are doing great!!!  Hang in there, enjoy your hubby and congrats on his new job!!!!

Big Hugs !!!!
