LOL - you reminded me of my landlord in NY...he was Chinese American...his wife was from China.  Her parents babysat their little boy during the day...and because it's something they do culturally (as in it's not considered f'ing gross), the grandfather kept teaching their son to hawk and spit.  His father was dying and kept threatening him...and his father-in-law as best he could.

I was pretty strict with my son...so some people might not agree with me...but I'd suggest time out every time he does it.  Let him know you don't like it at all.  As I'm sure you know...you don't have to yell to get your point across...but make sure your whole body, face and voice 'speak' your disapproval.  If he sees you laughing about it...he's going to keep doing it.  He has to know you mean it when you say 'no.'

I love this picture.  You make beautiful babies....and Jayson looks so mischievious...but how could you get/stay mad at a face like that?!

I had that problem with my oldest son then my youngest. Asked the doc what to do and he said there were so many things to try. I did not spank them or anything but with my oldest I used a drip of hot sauce and he never did it again. He hates hot stuff. My youngest had to do time on the couch and that worked. Now of course I tried numerous things and these are just what worked. I felt so bad but when it worked it was awesome. Oh yes and the hot sauce was not one of those crazy hot ones it was the mild picante sauce lol. It worked though. I also got to eat chips and salsa so I was happy

Tristan is a spitter too. It drives me crazy. When he does it I very sternly yell/say "No! We do not spit!, Big Boys don't spit." And I wipe his mouth with my hand or a baby wipe. If he goes to do it again I preemptively put my hand over his mouth and sternly say (not quite yelling, but in that mommy means business voice) and hold my hand there. If he does it, he gets put in time out.

It kinda is working.... if you find something that works let me know. It's driving me nuts.

Your pic is great. The kiddos are gorgeous and you look great!
