Being induced.
I had Pitocin in both my labors and it wasn't as bad as many people experience. In fact, my labor completely crapped out this time around when they started giving it to me. Maybe it was homeopathic Pitocin?
At any rate, don't be too worried - you will get through it. But don't assume for sure you'll be a mom by Wednesday. Inductions can take a crazy long time, like two days. It might be Thursday. Let's say NOT Friday, LOL. Good luck, mama!

Just wanted to say good luck. I was induced with my first because of IUGR and Pitocin is definitely the devil! I wanted to go all natural and after 17 hours I gave up and got my epidural. By that time my body was stressed and the baby was stressed and I ended up with a c-section. If your body is not ready to go into labor then pitocin does not help. I hope the do the cervadil for a while longer to help soften the cervix and get your body better prepared. IF all possible, I would take this next week and WALK as much as possible, relax as much as possible, have sex to help soften the cervix, take some baths (if you are able to), maybe get a massage, etc. They all are supposed to help bring on labor and can't hurt for trying :) My 2nd (now 6 weeks old) I had a successful VBAC and I walked my butt off the last 2 months or so and OMG the labor was sooooo much easier.
