I was wondering if that's what it was for.  Years ago when my aunt had her son and he was jaundiced...they just told her to put him in the sunlight for a few minutes a day.  LOL - times have definitely changed.  It looks like one of those blue lights that they stick money under (at least in Europe) to see if it's counterfeit.

She had slightly elevated bilirubin so she had a tiny bit of jaundice. She's doing tons better and it hasn't affected her at all :)

I actually brought the eye-shield home to stick in her baby book!

She is gorgeous. Did she have jaundice? I am curious too about the scar tissue....did they say what it was from?
Anyway, I know you are thrilled she is finally here! Sorry you had such a hard time though :(

Her bilirubin was slightly elevated, so she had a tiny bit of jaundice, but she's doing much better now.

We're looking into that - the scar tissue - now. The number one thought is that it is due to the RNY being done incorrectly and then the surgeon and his office not providing adequate follow-up care. I've had to call a lawyer and there are issues with the doctors I was seeing through the pregnancy, too. It's just been one big mess, really - but she's here so I am 100% happy!

Well done, Jackie!  She's adorable.  Take it really easy and take your pain pills.
