Seeing spots

I just had something weird happen.  I got up off the couch to open the back door because it was getting a bit warm in the house.  I sat back down and began seeing these flashing spots everywhere.  It wasn't like just one or two, there were tons.  Took a minute to go away but they are gone now.  I have never had that happen before.  Any ideas?

Sounds like blood pressure to me. Could be a little high, or a little low. I would lay on your left side for a bit and get up slowly the next time you stand. If it doesn't let up after laying down I would give your doc a call

It happens to me several times a week and for me it is due to dehydration.  Are you drinking enough fluids?  It could also mean low blood pressure as well.  

So far at all of my appointments my blood pressure has been perfect.  I had extremely high blood pressure when I was pregnant with my daughter 12 years ago and had pre-eclampsia, but I was also much heavier.  It could be that I am not drinking enough.  Some times that happens.  I will up my water and keep an eye on it.  I have an appointment on Thursday and will ask him about it.

I've never been pregnant, but I get that sometimes too. Usually if I turn my head too fast or get up too fast or am holding my breath for some reason. Its weird looking huh? I don't have blood pressue problems so I'm not sure what causes mine, but its never scary for me. Hopefully you will be fine if you get up slower :)
