Looking ahead to buying in bulk. My daughter is 13 so it's been a while. I remember Luv's and Pampers being virtually the same thing. I remember Walmart brand sucked. We are getting a BJ's membership though. Has anyone used Target brand? BJ's? Sam's Club? What is your favorite and which brands do you hate?
Thanks!

Target Up&Up diapers are the BEST!

Sam's club brand is a close second.

I cloth diaper 90% of the time but use disposables for road trips, vacations and outings since I hate toting around soiled diapers for my twins.

Target-HANDS DOWN!

Walmart does suck (as a PP stated), they fit smaller and leak...

Actually... Walmart's Parent choice brand has been redone.... I don't think that they suck anymore. Before they would leak all of the time and were so cheaply made... now they don't leak and are much nicer. I wouldn't suggest buying them in bul****il you test it for yourself but I use them when I run out of Pampers (which my grandma buys at Sams).

I also like the Target brand ones. They are very nice as well and I haven't had any problems with them either. I absolutely hate Huggies. They gave Tristan rashes and leaked horribly for us.

Good luck... I would suggest getting a sampling of a bunch and figuring out what works for this baby... sometimes the difference is in the child.

We just switiched to cloth, but my faves are Target brand and huggies.  We still have some in the closet for emergencies.  Walmart ones are OK for newborns, but after they start peeing a lot they suck.

We love Target brand as well. For us Huggies win hands down but when $ is tight we buy target.

I actually really don't like Target brand. They sag in the middle and make my daughter look like she's carrying a load 24/7. I agree that Wal-Mart brand is OK for newborns, but after that not so much. I have tried BJ's brand and don't really like them (they seemed stiff to me). I've never tried Sam's. I love Costco brand (Kirkland) and use them all the time (I also use their formula which is WAY less expensive than Enfamil and is virtually the same). Of course I love Pampers but don't ever buy them because they are very expensive. But I like Luvs too. I use Luvs a lot.

So here is my advice. Diapers have changed a lot in 13 years. My niece was born 13 years ago and I changed her diapers all the time. Diapers now are pretty great. If you are looking to buy ahead, I would buy a bunch of different kinds. One person might love one kind of diaper and we're all going to tell you something different, but you won't know what works best for your new little one until they are born. Every baby's shape is different which is why some diapers work great for some kids but not for others.

When I was pregnant, I bought a new pack of diapers every time I went grocery shopping. I would get different kinds and different sizes. I have not had to buy diapers really since my daughter was born (she's 6 months old). I still do on occasion because I like to have a stock of them. One brand I really like that actually didn't get mentioned yet is CVS brand. They also carry newborn size which I thought were pretty hard to find in the beginning, but I really preferred them to size 1 when my daughter first came home.

Sorry for such a long response, I just don't want you to buy one particular kind only to find out that you hate it. You might find that you LOVE Wal-Mart diapers (I hear their White Cloud brand actually is pretty good, but I haven't tried it). If I lived near yuo, I would give you all the diapers Lorelai can't fit in anymore so you could try them without buying them. (0:

For me I loved Pampers Swaddlers for when Tyler was a baby and then Pampers Crusiers when he started crawling and what not, but Huggies make the best Pull-ups. I guess I'm a Pampers girl.
