Pictures of Audrey
Hi, everyone!
Well, Audrey is 10 days old and life is good so far. She's such a great baby. I am one of those women who had NO experience with babies before having my own, so I was a little bit freaked out about having to care for a newborn. Lucky for me, she's really relaxed and happy, so she's made the transition easy for me.
The only problem I've had isn't with her... it's with her pediatrician's office. I like her doctor, he's a nice guy, but I wasn't thrilled with the facility. The waiting room was barely big enough for 6 people and half of them had colds/hacking coughs. I left my husband in there and waited with Audrey out in the hallway. Seriously, like I would sit there with my week-old baby and have her breathe their germs for 45 minutes while we wait? Ugh. So the search continues.
Anyway, here's a slideshow of some pictures from her first week. :)

One of the things I love about my pediatrician's office is that they have 3 seperate waiting areas. A newborn room, a general waiting room for normal check-ups and a sick room.
I would search for a new doctor at a better facility if I were you... flu season + a newborn is something I just wouldn't risk.
Then there was a women that walked out with her kid hacking a lung, and she was like, "oh, I guess I went out the wrong door". I looked her right in the face and called her an idiot! I am having a hard time tolerating stupidity.... guess it is my hormones :-\
Sorry,lol.
Your baby is adorable!!
Re the pedi...yeah...I'm with you. Keep looking. Maybe mention to your pedi what the problem is and see if they have a solution - not that it'd be ideal, but maybe if you waited in the car and they called on your cell when they were ready for you and you could go straight in? I only ever dealt with one pedi when my son was young and I loved their office. They had separate waiting areas - with separate toys and books - for the 'well-visit' kids and the sick kids. Silly me for thinking that was the way they all were. That was years ago for my son (who's almost 16); with the viruses and things that go around now...I'd be waiting in the hall too.
