Zofran?

Hi Ladies,

I know that some of you have posted that you were prescribed Zofran for extreme nausea.  How long does it take to work?  I will be starting it tonight and "fingers crossed" am hoping that it is the answer to my prayers!

Also, the doctor did not mention whether I should continue with my Diclectin while on the Zofran.  Does anyone know what I should do about the Diclectin?

Thanks
Jenn

I take  Zofran.....I started out with the 4mg didn't help much or for long I should say so the doctor up me to the 8mg.With my son 8 years ago it worked really well.it helps now but not as great as before but that's due to our surgery's.When you take the first one it may or may not work fast but once in your system it should take about 10 minutes for it to kick in.It does work wonders though.

May my Angles rest in peace.....

Thanks Jennifer,

The OB prescribed 8mg in the AM and the PM.  I took my first one about an hour ago.  I am really hoping for a miracle here.  I have not been able to work since about Week 6 and am becoming increasingly miserable dealing with the nausea and dry heaves.  My doctor keeps asking, are you sure your not carrying multiples?  OMG, I can't imagine if I had multiples in there.  If this is how I feel with a singleton, I can just imagine what my hormones would be like with two (like you!).  I've had two ultrasounds, so I am pretty sure there isn't another one hiding in there.

Thanks again!

Jenn

Thanks Lexa,

The ones the OB gave me do not disolve.  I will be sure to ask for those if these ones are not effective.  My Diclectin is also for nausea - it is apparently OK to take with the Zofran.

Fingers crossed!
