My baby is here! And this is why.....
I went into the hospital on Sunday morning with ridiculous pain in my abdomen area and thought i was in labor...when the pain didn't subside for over and hour STRAIGHT i realized it wasn't labor and had to be more serious. After I was checked, the final answer was that I had gall stones! Out of nowhere! So insane. Anyway, they have me pain medication that seemed to help through and IV but when it was time to go home, the percocet they had me try did not seem to make the pain any better and the doctors decided it would be more beneficial to induce me the next day. Keep in mind this whole time, baby is doing fine, no distress and nothing to be concerned with. So, Monday morning, they began my Pitcocin and the induction began.
What a long day ahead of me. Even my 4pm I was still only 4cm dilated and on the max Pitocin that should be given. Had the epidural earl because of the pain I was in yet, there really was no relief in a certain area...apparently what they like to call a HOT SPOT and I was feeling very sharp stabbing contractions there. So after being on the Pitocin for 9 hrs with barely any change in the baby's position or dilation. The doctor then explained to me that there was no reason to keep draggin the pain on and also, that my pelvis appeared to be too small to deliver the baby. Go figure, I was heavy and "big" my whole life and all the while had a small pelvis. LOL. I began to cry a bit because I didn't want to have a C Section, but realized I didn't and couldn't deal with the pain. Call me a baby but I am NOT good with pain AT ALL.
So there you have it... MYANAH SOLEI was born on 4/04 at 5:18pm via CSection. She weighed in at 7lbs 7oz and measured 19.5 inches long. She is GORGEOUS!!!

Congrats on such a sweet baby girl!! Look at those chubby cheeks- awww! Really love her name too :) Happy to hear you're both doing well. C sections are a bummer, but you gave it your all so don't feel bad about it. I was there 5 weeks ago and I beat myself up over it, but there's so much happiness ahead that I think back now and realize giving birth is no joke and regardless of how he got here- I'm still a mommy nnow :). Did they take care of the gall bladder issue for you during the C?
