Hi Ladies!
I've been lurking for a few months now and just want to introduce myself.
I am 4 1/2 years post-op and 22 weeks pregnant.  My due date is August 8th.  I am having a GIRL.  This will be my second child - I have a 5 1/2 year old daughter.

I had a rough time in the beginning with nausea, but I beginning to feel better now.  (or maybe I'm getting used to feeling like CRAP! lol!)

My baby is healthy and growing fine.

My husband and I are still trying to think of the perfect name for our daughter.  It was easy coming up with my older daughter's name because she is named after our mothers-Katrina Nadine.  We want something that flows with 'Katrina'.  I like Sabrina.  My husband likes Morgan.  And my daughter likes Kylee.   Who knows...lol!

I am also worried about gaining lots and weight and not being able to lose it!  Before I got pregnant, I have been able to maintain my weight-160 pounds.  I am now 180 pounds and only halfway there!!  Prior to pregnancy I was an active runner and now that I am feeling better I starting walking on the treadmill adding 90-second interval runs.  I'm hoping I will be able to get my weight back down.

Anyhow, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am here and I've gotten some useful info from this board!

Good Luck to everyone!

Hi, welcome to the board and congrats on your pregnancy!  Everyone is different on how they loose their weight after pregnancy.  I lost all but 8-10lbs at my 6 week check-up but then held onto that plus gained another 10 the next 1.5 years until I buckled down and started increasing my protein and water and watched my portions and what I ate....then I began an exercise routine and lost the 20 pounds.  Then took a trip overseas and got off track and gained about 5lbs back and now pregnant again!  As long as you watch your portion sizes, drink plenty of water and work in exercise, I don't think you will have a problem to loose the weight!  Best of luck in the rest of your journey!

Congrats and welcome!!! My official due date is August 4th!!!, but I'm schedule for c-section July 25. We are having the darndest time figuring out a name for our second boy! We were hoping for a girl and my husband had picked out the name Sabrina!!! I liked Malia, which could go with Katrina as well! :) Did you have any boy names you had in mind that you would share? Our 3 1/2 yr old's name is Telson James and we want something that fits. My husband likes Julius and Emerson, I can't find any I like, and our son likes Jackson and Nicholas. LOL Naming the second baby is tough isn't it????

I can't help much with the weight issue, as I got pg on BC at 6 months out, but now that you are walking again, things should be okay. You'll lose most of it right after birth anyway!

Have a happy and healthy pregnancy!!! :)

Thanks!  Naming a boy would have been easier for us because we would name him after his daddy-Shawn Michael.  I like Emerson and Nicholas.  I also like Marcus.  This naming thing is tough!  Good Luck to you and your family!
