PCOS women and Metformin
Sorry you are continuing to struggle with PCOS. I recently went back on metformin myself, 1500mg per day. I highly recommend the website www.soulcysters.com. The forums are very informative and supportive. There is a whole section devoted to metformin and another section to TTC with PCOS.
There are many women on that sight that have concieved with just metformin. Good luck!

I used to go on soulcysters all the time! It was a great site...I went on metformin but ended up needing the trigger shots to ovulate also. BUT..the metformin certainly helped! The worst side effect was the dirrhea it gave me..but I got thru it! It also helped that I went to e reproductive endocrinologist for my fertility issues..just a thought!
I'm a little over 8 weeks pregnant now, and i'm on 1000mg of Met daily.  I would think once your period regulates out you should be able to start charting ovulation.  This may be TMI, but once i was on Met, i was really able to tell when i ovulated by my cervical mucus.  I didnt even really have to keep an eye on the calender, i just new that when i noticed a change in consistency it was time.  Weird i know.
Good luck!!
Good luck!!
I did.  Metformin and really keeping track of my cycles.  If you have an iPhone or iPod Touch, I highly recommend the iPeriod App.  I really think that's what made the difference for me.  I concieved twice just doing the deed on the days it said I was fertile!
