I use stevia for sweetening things like tea and coffee or anything that needs a little sweetness. Stevia is made from the stevia plant.
Topic: RE: PB2 Can you give me some info on this stuff?
It's awesome. I really like it. Their website is able to show if any stores near you sell it. I picked it up for a decent price at a local low-carb shop. I have both the regular PB2 and the Choco-PB2. I use it in shakes, mixed with my greek yogurt, etc. It is simply awesome.

I LOVE, LOVE to use Whey Low in my baking. (I use Splenda whenever possible in other cooking...but for BAKING Whey Low is so fabulous.)
It is made from lactose (milk sugar), fructose (fruit sugar) and sucrose (table sugar) but it is designed to hit our blood streams slower and not cause problems. Also has fewer carbs than full-on-sugar.
There is also stevia (Truvia is a good brand). Some can taste a minty after-taste to it, but others swear by this!

Topic: sweetners for people alergic to aspartame, splenda equal and n sweet n low
Hello all,
I am alergic to splenda sweet n low, equal and sucralose and things of that nature. of course i am not alergic to good old whtie sugar, and i do not have any dumping from sweets. What types of sweetners are there that i can use for things like coffee ( tried honey not good at all) any help would be greatly appreciated.

Almonds and coconut is at least 70-80% fat. Healthy, but it is what it is.
You could substitue say oats which are less calorically dense but then the carbs go up.
You can't be low cal, low fat, low carb all at the same time. There will be trade-offs

I bought my first jar of PB2 about a week ago. How do I say this....I LOVE IT!! Since I'm just on the mushy stage of my diet, any food tastes SO good....so I thought I'd ask my husband to try it, to make sure my taste buds weren't playing tricks on me...and he said "it taste like peanut butter, why?" I didn't tell him it was low calorie/low fat, because I wanted to get his honest opinion.
I will definitely be buying more!
