Topic: Need Phase 2/3 recipes
My husband just had gastric by-pass on Sept 27. He has just entered into the soft food/puree phase. Does anyone have any recipes or suggestions they can pass on to help me with his diet. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions/assistance.

Yeah, I'm sorry about all your complications. Hopefully you can keep it down.
Topic: RE: lasagna
I recently made 'lasagna' using eggplant as the noodles and quinoa in place of the meat. It was delicious. I simply sliced the eggplant as I normally would and cooked them a bit before putting them into the baking dish. that way I was assured that they would be fully cooked. The precooked quinoa was mixed with a little sauce. I layered it just as I would had I been using the real noodles. The die hard "don't mess with my lasagna" people in the family really enjoyed it. Low fat, low carb, vegetarian. Perfect.

I got the ingredients this evening and my oldest is going to help me make them in the morning and be my official taste tester. He is pretty picky so I figure if he likes them then I will too and it is just a matter of holding them down.
Topic: RE: what was your favourite pureed meal?
In the beginning my favorite was Taziki Sauce made with greek yogurt. I could just eat it with a spoon I love it so much but gives me indigestion now. Osiokos plain greek yogurt (it is the one I find that has the most protein and least sugar), cucumber peeled, seeded and finely chopped (or grated), parsley and dill (fresh) can use both or just one of the two, one garlic clove grated, a little sea salt and pepper. You can put it all into a blender to get it to a more creamy consistency but I always just preferred the little bites of cucumber I would get. Later on you can try it with low-carb flat bread, tortilla's, or pita chips tosted in the oven. I probably lived off cream of wheat the first week. I got dixie cups to control my portion sizes in the beginning as well.

Could someone point me in the direction of the various protein ball recipes? I took a look but keep coming back to this one with the cream cheese and I do not mind peanut butter. I am willing to try anything at this point.
Thanks,

Everyone that's had WLS is either trying to maintain, lose, etc... At this point I just want to live. I won't get into a lot of details but my surgery and post-op have been riddled with complications. I am 6 months out and already down 126 pounds. I have such bad nausea still take three anti-nausea medications daily on top of carafate and prilosec and vitamins galore. I actually joined a campaign to legalize medical marijuana in the state I live in because at this point I will try anything if it makes me able to eat or even just hold down my food. I have a heart arrhythmia due to low pottasssium and so forth. I was on TPN and after getting off of it my tastes changed....not sure if it was the surgery or the TPN but I cannot stand the taste of any protein powder and very few milk products, red meat makes me ill, and I am sick to death of grilled chicken, turkey, peanut butter, and saltine crackers. I love greek yogurt but it give me indigestion and after my last EGD if my ulcers don't improve I will have to have surgery on my esphogus. To top things off my surgeon moved to another state my new doctor is over two hours away and I don't feel good enough to make that drive. So, I haven't seen a surgeon since July. I saw my gastrointernologist for the last EGD, my PCM, and a heart doctor but none of them really know what to do with me other then throw vitamins and pills at me.
Anyhow, I will take any and all suggestions recipes whatever you've got I will try it. I have tried making protein ice cream, cookies, you name it. Splenda makes me dump so I can only use raw stevia at this point. I have tried several GNC proteins, protein shots, bars, Nectar, EAS, Bariatric Advantage, Isopure, and so many others I have lost count. I can't eat eggs or egg whites as they make me ill as well. I haven't tried them in a recipe other then an egg bake so I don't know if it is the eggs by themselves or if I can tolerate them as a part of a recipe. Light cheese takes hours for me to digest and milk tastes rotten to me. With that in mind I will take any and all suggestions as I am desperate to find something different to eat as well as get more proteint. I do not have the energy to hardly do anything. I actually had better stamina 126 pounds heavier.
Thank you for taking the time to read my long post and thank you in advance for suggestions/recipes.
