I started my 5 day pouch diet  today and I made tomato and cucumber soup with v8 is that ok?  I also had black bean puree then added some tomato and cucumber soup with it blended together.
I need help and motivation.  My Birthday is at the end of the month and I really want to get back on track.  I also have a mind thing going on.

My Surgery was Jan 14 2010 and I have come from over 310lbs to 180, so that means that I went from a size 26 to size 12-14.

Is there anyone in the Birmingham Alabama area that can help motivate me and I help motivte them cause I know I can do it.

Wow! Look at everything you've lost! I'm not in your area but I'm sending you happy and motivating thoughts! I really like the world according to eggface blog and she has lots of recipes which may help you, too. Also, maybe look on Meetup.com for people in your area who have a GB group or even start one yourself! YOU CAN DO IT! You're motivating me to look forward to my future...I hope my words/thoughts helped a little. :)

I am my own hero...I save myself one day, one meal, one bite, one choice, one challenge, one step at a time...

I'm not in Birmingham so can't help you there, but many, many folks here have benefitted fromt the "Back on Track Together group.  You might want ot check it out and see what you find.

I didn't have anyone I knew who had bariatric surgery.  I came on OH everyday for over 29 months, now, and OH is my support.  I attend a monthly support group in another town but only see those people once a month.

I keep  daily food log - it is the best way for me to be accountable and get my daily requirements of protein, fluids and stay within calorie and carb limits.

Read, read, read.  I have a reading list if you want it.  I really don't think anyone can motivate you - that must come from within.  Others can influence you (positive & negative) but you are the captain of your own boat.

I'm re-reading "The Beck Diet Solution".  It is about thought process & behavior - not a "diet" how to book.  It is really helpful for me.

Best wishes.
