How do you cook squash?

 Cut open an acorn or butternut squash in half, scoop out the seeds and strings, put 1/4 cup of SF maple syrup in the hollow, brush lightly with oil and bake at 350 for 30-45 mins. Delish!

Or skin, de-seed, cut in cubes and throw in a stew.

I'm boring, but it's easy. I nuke zucchini or summer squash in the microwave just covered with water and some salt for a couple minutes. I like mine a bit al dente, but I don't mind it pretty soft, either.

I'm pretty lazy with mine, I cut acorn squash in half..put some butter and salt or garlic salt in the hallow (after de-seeding which im too lazy to do sometimes so mom does it LOL) ..I nuke it in the microwave till it's 'mashed tater' consistancy when you poke it with a fork...I take it out ..plop the whole thing on a plate and eat it out of the hallow.  I'm thinking cold cottage cheese would be good with this too...now I want a squash!
