I have Mung Beans in one jar and Fenugreek seeds in the other one. Is there a cabinet or cupboard that you can put them in since they need to be away from light? I only had my light on to take the picture.

Good mornin y'all.

nothing much happening today. My mom and aunt are meeting up for the thrift store and lunch. I decided to sit this one out. I need to clean the bathroom and do some laundry. Plus it'd be nice to have some alone time. I also need to weave some metal!

Love the sprout set up! I am thinking about trying mine again thanks to you! I am still however worried about the cats breaking the jars. What kind are you growing?

In about a week or so I've lost something like 5 pounds. I know a lot is the water weight but I am pretty happy with it. I've clamped down but still need to figure out the carb stuff. My bs's are not great. Not bad bad but needs improvement for sure. The CGM has opened my eyes.

QOTD: the only classes I ever made high A's in were history(social studies) and geography. I love history so much and really thought I'd be a teacher of it but then I learned a lot of teenagers are not all that kind when I was one LOL

B: egg, 2 slices of bacon, 1.5 tbs of shreddd cheese and a zero net carb tortilla + coffee.

L: I think I'll make some light soup. I have a mix for cheddar broccoli that needs to be used up that's low on the counts. Might add some chicken to it!

D: maybe soup again if not that probably 3 ozs of chicken with some dill pickle yogurt ranch dressing. Also a cup of roasted carrots left over from yesterday.

this is a bracelet I made over the course of a week. It was just tedious and a pain! But it feels great on and is nice to play with like a fidget toy too. It weighs in at almost a quarter of a pound! My boss requested it...it's two inches wide and 8.5 inches long. It's reversible too.

And a meme!

Good Friday morning gang. It was a bit rainy when I got up at 4am, but it has since stopped, and it appears that the sun will be coming out. Yesterday turned out to be a nice day after it being a bit drizzly in the morning it became sunny and 60 out. I plan on making a beef brisket and turkey this weekend to have some stuff for lunches next week. My garlic is coming nicely and I have more seeds to get started.

QOTD: What was your favorite class in high school? I remember starting my freshman year and I had to pick an elective class. They had several interesting classes, but I chose AG class which was held in a building outside of the main school. It had a greenhouse attached to it and that is where I learned a bunch of stuff. I ended up taking horticulture, animal science, floriculture, joined FFA, and in my senior year I had three hours of working in the greenhouse. That all was so much more fun and educational than sitting in a classroom listening to a teacher go over the same stuff day after.

B: coffee and breakfast burrito

L: Fish sandwich (co-worker wants fish and chips)

D: spinach stuffed sole and sweet potato fries

30 minutes on the treadmill

Have a great Friday and wonderful weekend everyone!!!

Oh and here are my sprouts started.

I swear when my cat has to vomit, he holds it until he can get to the carpet. Someone put on Facebook that the perfect alarm clock would be the sound of a cat puking. My cat has a little cat tree next a window and he sleeps there most of the day. He is so playful and loves to fetch. He will wake me up at night and put his ball in my hand and then wait for me to throw.

There are lots of squirrels here too and many of my neighbors put peanuts out for them. They are fun to watch and some of them are so tame they will come up to you and beg for food if you sit outside.

Outside of fencing everything I have had good luck with a product called Repeals all. Repels-All Animal Repellent Granules - Bonide It comes in both a spray and granules. What I have done is spray the plant then apply the granules around the base of the plant. When you first spray it the smell is like rotten eggs, but that is only for a few seconds. Since rabbits and other critters have a more sensitive nose than us humans they can actually smell it on and around the plants.

There are some plants that will also deter them. I plant garlic all around the outside of my garden and then along the inside I plant onions. Those are two plants they do not like. Some other plants that help to keep them away are lavender, salvia, and oregano. A motion activated sprinkler or windchimes are two other options that are supposed to deter rabbits.

Worst case scenario I can lend you my German Shepherd she just loves rabbit and is getting pretty darn good at catching them.

If you have a cat in the yard the rabbits will go away. I know you do not want a cat.

QOTD- I qui****ching the news after 9/11, I could not stand to watch those buildings collapse another time. The only time I tune in is when the weather is bad. I watch KPTV 12, it's a Fox affiliate but I like the people on there and when the weather is bad they pretty much do weather and traffic all day.

Currently 42 degrees, not terrible for the first day of Spring. It's supposed to rain for the next 4 days but it looks like we might hit 73 on Tuesday.

Jim sorry about the rabbits, the scourge that I have is squirrels. The first year I was here they ate all of my strawberries. I bought some mesh and the bendy poles that go with it and so far so good. I actually had strawberries last year. I've given up on corn they dig them up and eat the seed. They haven't bothered any of the bulbs.

Someone puked on the duvet cover last night, so it's in the dryer and the down comforter is in the washer. I still love my kitties though.

I bought this cat bed that goes in the Kallax shelf unit. It's really cute, but so far they haven't used it. I can't get the photo to upload.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, everybody!

We started Spring with 3 inches of snow, LOL. But today is the first day of March Madness and Spring is going to happen. I picked Florida in my brackets. I don't know enough teams to pick the favorite and still have a chance to win. But I guess Florida is the second favorite, so I'm probably out on the same theory.

Jennifer, can we talk rabbits? Short of a rifle/casserole solution, what can we do to keep them from eating our flowers? Last year they ate pretty much all of the annuals except for Wax Begonias. They ate, literally, hundreds of square feet of Hosta's.

I always thought that Hostas were a fail safe ground cover, but not last year. I could even hear the rabbits eating Hostas when I went outside. It kind of sounds like celery. If truth be told, we kind of let the Hostas slide because it was a hot, dry summer. But now there are puddles of rainwater. Nobody is going thirsty. And they are starting to eat the Mall Tulips.

Are there plants that they don't like, or are we just going to have to fence everything?

QOTD: I don't usually watch the local news.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Catered

Dinner: Spaghetti and Meatballs

Have a Great Day, all!

I gave in and took a pain pill last night. After three weeks of constant pain, the relief was amazing. I did not realize that I had fractured the pelvis and did not understand why I was hurting so badly. I realize now that getting the pain under control will help with the healing process.

It sounds terrible in some ways but I stopped watching the new about a year ago. I would get so upset over things that were going on and finally came to the conclusion that I cannot change or control or cure other people. I do look at the headlines on line and have a fairly good overview of what is going on, but don't put the TV on and watch. When I did watch the news, I liked the Cleveland stations. I also like PBS stations because I feel they are unbiased.
