Great job on the A1(C). 6.6 is where my Endocrinologist wants me to be.

Good morning, everyone!

I saw a crocus on the way to the train station this morning. It wasn't in our yard, but I'm sure that ours will be up soon. Last year, we got over 100 bulbs from a mall in the next town over. When they change their beds to summer annuals, they give bags of bulbs to everyone that brings food donations.

Marilyn planted all of those bulbs in our mulch beds, underneath chicken wire (to keep the rabbits out). Hopefully, those will come up shortly and she can distribute them around the yard.

It sounds like Marilyn and my son had a great night fishing, they caught Snook, Redfish, and Sea Trout. Now they have to buckle down and get a contract finalized so that we can close in a couple of weeks.

They fly home tonight and I will pick them up at the airport.

QOTD: Probably travel.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: sandwich

Dinner: chicken Alfredo

Have a great day, all!

Good mornin y'all.

yesterday's appointment went far better than I thought it would. He ordered the bloodwork, X-ray and listened! The bloodwork shows some type of infection...probably a bladder or kidney infection. My iron is at 21. I've got some work to do. My A1c went down to 6.6. Officially .5 of a drop. I should hear today from the doctor or his nurse about the bloodwork and X-ray. also I should be getting the final stuff for the CGM next week. His nurse also raised hell with my bariatric surgeons office. They tried to get me an appointment since he hasn't seen me in two + years. I tried to call and they had had a data breach so they said they'd call me when it cleared up. Nada. I tried to call again and could never get an answer on what to do. Mainly just need him to order the bloodwork needed.

Hopefully I'll start feeling better soon.

Not much planned for the day. I'll need to go pick up some prescriptions and maybe we'll go to the grocery store. One local place has chuck roast 3.99 a pound. You have to buy two but it's a good deal.

QOTD: unfortunately chainmaille. No one around here cares about it but me so I frequent some fb groups.

B: eggs, sausage and coffee

L: burrito with avocado and sour cream

D: ????

Good morning gang. Yesterday ended up being a very productive day at work and also at home. Even though the copier at work decided to stop working we have backup printers so I was still able to get just about everything done that needed to be completed. Then when I got home I got the rabbits cleaned out, went through a couple more totes, and then just chilled for an hour before going to bed at 9.

We got 27 eggs from the chickens so I brought two dozen in to work to sell my price is still $5 a dozen the same as it has been since 2020 when the feed went up. A couple of people asked me if I was going to raise my prices and I said nope unless the feed prices go crazy, so now I have a few people who want to buy them from me every week. When your fresh eggs are cheaper than Walmart that just shows you the corporate greed that is out there.

QOTD: What is your favorite topic to talk about? Farming/gardening. I could talk all day about raising farm animals and growing vegetables. I don't know why, but it feels so satisfying to me when people say wow I didn't know about XYZ.

B: coffee and 2 egg and ham bites

L: tuna wrap with banana peppers

D: chicken loaf with mashed sweet potatoes

20 minutes on the vibration plate

Have a great day everyone!!

Hello Jen and Menuers,

I know it has been a bit but seems like putting out fires with the new system has become a full-time job. Every morning it is something and by the time I find time to post the day has slipped away. I am not complaining because at least when issues are identified they are being modified to fit our needs. Last system all they could do is find a work around.

QOTD: I do not think it is irrational, but I will not wear black to a wedding. I believe black is for mourning not celebrating.

My father warned us that if you made faces at people, God would punish you by freezing your face into that look. It turns out it was how the old Irish people explained Bell's Palsy, a condition where the facial features are temporarily paralysed.

I fell on Monday and was having a really hard time walking due to pain in my hip. I went to ER yesterday and they said nothing was broken, but my bone deterioration is getting worse. They referred me to an orthoopedic doctor to see if there are injections that will help with that. Hope he can help.

Good mornin y'all.

yesteday sucked. My psychiatric NP is such an ass. He told me I need to manage my pain better. Even after I told him they(the pain management clinic) aren't willing to do anything else. He suggested I start a spiritual journey of some sorts. I got madder than a wet hen. Rage bough some mochi and ate two...got sick and threw them away. I swear my mind works in some wondrous ways and sometimes I am surprised I know how to breathe. I am stuck with this guy for now. He doesn't listen to anything I say.

Today I see my PCP after lunch. I am hoping he'll up the mounjaro. And do some bloodwork. Oh AND an X-ray of my hips, esp my left one.

we also have to go get groceries this morning.

QOTD: when I was a kid it was that thunder was actually dinosaurs. Now I just have an irrational fear of crowds.

B: eggs, sausage and coffee + cheese

L: 3 or 4 meatballs, pesto and ??? Maybe 4 crackers or a piece of bread

D: burrito with a low carb tortilla: avocado, hamburger meat, cheese, sour cream and refried beans.

Good morning, everybody!

I'm home from swimming. When I drove by the outdoor thermometer at 5:40, it was 42 degrees! Woohoo!! So. much better than the single digit days of January and early February. I enjoyed a nice soak in the hot tub after swimming, and now I'm ready to start my day.

Some things did turn up in the home inspection, so we are strategizing about how to address those items in the closing documents. Marilyn has a meeting with our realtor shortly to go over his suggested approach. I guess it was pretty windy down there yesterday, so they didn't do much boating or fishing. Hopefully, the weather will improve today because they ave a boat chartered for a night time trip this evening.

Back in Chicago, I will miss Happy Hour because I am taking my son's spot at fly tying this week. I ended up getting a tray of Chicken Alfredo at Costco and I will let my son finish that for tonight's dinner. I will probably grab something before class. Everyone comes home tomorrow night.

QOTD: I've said this before, but as a child, I was told that dragon flys were called "thread and needles" and that they would sew shut the mouths of children. I am 93% sure that this isn't true, but I am still wary of them

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Italian sandwich

Diner: hamburger

Have a great day, all!
