Topic: RE: Cooking for my kids

I personally would talk with Emma and say something like "hey Emma I would really appreciate it if you help me make better and healthier meals for all of us" and ask her if there is anything that she would like to try making. I know 16 can be a tough age to get them to engage in doing things, but maybe look up healthier meals on Youtube together.

As for the two younger ones again slowly start introducing a new food each week. Not sure if you and your family eat out or do fast foods, but there are so many different hacks out there that can make those McDonald's chicken nuggets a healthy food that is made at home or really any other fast food can be made as a healthy alternative at home.

I always think outside the box. One of my go to snacks is a dill pickle wrapped with cheese and deli ham or chicken. It might seem strange, but its good and filling.

Topic: Finally Friday's Menu

WooHoo it's Friday!!! Meisha is still on Finley's ****list. She even caught a bird and tried to give it to him. Yea he wasn't having any of it. She walked away with her head down whining.

Not all that much planned for the weekend. Just picking up the Billy goat from my SIL that we looked at last weekend.

I think Irvin wants me to make a seafood gumbo which I'm OK with since I love gumbo. He's been watching this self-taught chef on youtube and the dude can make some pretty darn good-looking dishes. He also makes Ox tail which looked amazing I've only had them once before made by an old Southern lady and they were to die for.

QOTD: Movie theater or at home streaming? I haven't been to a movie theater in over 20 years. Anything I want to watch I just wait until it's available to stream. With the cost of tickets and then snacks plus having to deal with strangers I'll just stay home thank you.

B: coffee and 2 scrambled eggs with cheese

L: buffalo chicken wrap

D: beef stew

S: carrots and radishes

30 minutes on the treadmill

Have a wonderful day everyone.

I think I have to tender of a heart to raise animals for food and such. I'd never eat meat again! I have mad respect for those that can but I get way to attached to do it,

I have a former aunt who had a farm, they had a pair of dogs get attacked by a mountain lion. They had to shoot them due to injuries just being unrecoverable. I just can't. Like you say I love animals and something like having to kill a rattlesnake even would just break my heart. Spiders are even a hard one for me. I know it's a bit naive as I do eat meat but then the human brain and heartl are fickle things usually at odds with one another.

one thing I would love is the low light pollution! I love the night sky in the country.

sorry to babble on!

Topic: RE: What advice would you give me considering weight loss surgery?

Sadly most people who would benefit from weight loss surgery never get it. It is not a magic bullet but it makes it far easier to eat correctly and lose weight when you are no longer hungry and no longer able to eat much food at one time.
