Good morning, everyone!

I drove straight from swimming into the office. We got a couple of inches of snow last night, but the highways were fine. One of those days where you use up all of your wiper fluid, though.

I have a few things to do this morning, including one call, I will go out to lunch so that I can leave my favorite server a holiday treat and then I?ll head home.

We have a Holiday party at CrossFit tonight and tomorrow morning my daughter comes into town for the weekend. So we are going to have an early Christmas dinner with her. We are having beef tenderloin and, hopefully, some type of potato.

Monday I?m working and then I will be off through the New Year?s.

QOTD: I?m actually not sure, because we have been focused on this weekend.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: steak and home fries

Dinner: Pot Luck

Have a great day, all!

Christmas Eve is our family party. About 50 people. We rent a log cabin. It has central heat, kitchen, and bathrooms. A huge fireplace. We will have a fire in the fireplace and the place is all decorated with trees and other decorations. My brother will dress as Santa Claus and we take pictures with the little ones on his lap.

Then Christmas Day is a brunch at my sister's home. She recently bought a huge home and has been working like crazy to get it the way she wants it. The house has five bedrooms and two and a half baths. The former owner was handicapped so there is ramp to get to the top story. There was a stair lift but it was old and my sister had it removed. The owner passed away last year. She kept the place immaculate and there are beautiful shutters and blinds, lots of woodwork and moldings.

My sister is married and lives in North Carolina, but wanted a place to live part time in Ohio. I thought a nice condo would make a lot more sense, but she wanted a big old house. She is my youngest sister and has unbelievable ambition and energy.

The meme brings back a funny memory. The year the Chucky movie came out my sister in law bought her son a Chucky doll for Christmas. She did not know about the movie and did realize how creepy that doll was. We were all in shock when he opened that present.

Have a great holiday Mel and everyone.

Morning gang. I'm just about to head out to the butcher shop for a Christmas roast. I feel like I should wear ruby slippers or something.

We're doing Christmas dinner here. I think there will be 7 of us? And we go to my bff's house for a Christmas eve party. I've been doing that for at least 20 years now.

Apologies for the lack of pictures. I haven't taken one for a few weeks now. I'll try and remember.

Fortunately, my program did have a support group, and I was able to meet many people in different stages of their journey. I believe it was the key to continued success. Support is definitely a game changer if it is available. After Covid many support groups went away. So sad.

Your program will tell you if you need to. But you should do it anyway. You'll be better off.

If you are making them from scratch, trust me and try one f your jalapeños stuffed with peanut butter. It sounds weird but is delicious! One of our older restaurants here does them that way and when I started making them, I turned them into bacon wrapped pb jalapeños,

Good morning y'all!

I've got a busy day ahead. We have to run something to my brother where he works then we will pick up the girls at 11. Then we run to the library where my SIL works to pick up Randall. We'll have them the rest of the day.

The weekend ahead looks somewhat relaxed. I'll need to get groceries Sunday for Christmas but other than that not much is happening. I'll probably not be posting again until after Christmas though. So I'm wishing all of y'all a wonderful Christmas and start of Hanukkah!

QOTD: What's y'all's plans for the your particular holiday?

We're doing a couple of roasts in the crock pot. One for BBQ and the other with potatoes and carrots. We will be going to Sam's to get brioche slider buns and some kind of dessert. Probably cookies and maybe an apple pie. My brother and his family will be over most of the day. I'll be making jalapeño poppers, doing French fries and my mom is doing something she saw on FB, calling it meat poppers. We'll see lol. The weather is supposed to be decent. High of 60° and a slight chance of rain, which we really need.

B: eggsL cheese and coffee

L: probably chicken and a handful of pretzels.

D: completely unplanned. Probably oatmeal

Ms.Tange and a meme.
