That's a shame you're not going to the game. Will Mary Rose make it?

Morning gang. Everything is pretty much normal here. I just got off the phone with my bariatric office, just to schedule my yearly check-in. It's a virtual visit, not even in-person, and the earliest appointment they had is March 27. Yikes. And that's with the PA.

I'm finally back on the post-Thanksgiving wagon, and looking forward to two good weeks of eating before the Christmas crap-food-fest starts. I hate it. And love it. The struggle never ends.

QOTD: I guess I don't have a preference. The drawback to dogs is you have to live by their schedule -- take them out and walk them when they need to go. Cats are on their own. But cats are more apt to act like dicks than a dog.

Good morning Jennifer and Menuers,

Thanks for starting us off this morning. It is raining cats and dogs here. Couldn't even get Rudy out to do his business. He hates the rain. I had a very nice weekend; The theater was awesome. Lots of kids in the production and they were the cutest. Bingo was fun but no success at winning anything. It was for the local Humane Society, so I am ok with donating to them. I got my cycle shoes. Today the clips should come, and I'll be ready to cycle. I went to the gym Saturday but this week there having some kind of competition, so I won't be joining them. I got very little Christmas decorating done so I need to get at it tonight.

QOTD: I have always been a dog person. Rudy has been a big old cuddle bear lately. I do not know what changed but he likes to be laying on either me or Ron. It keeps me from snacking because I do not want to get up and disturb him.

Accountability: I made a chocolate espresso old fashion and lots of carbs. I was not very disciplined this weekend.

Congratulations on your race time. That is fantastic. I love ham too and fix it a lot because it is delicious and so quick and easy. Travel was another thing I was considering about another cat. I will have to have a cat sitter when I travel but it is worth it to me to be able to have a pet. I am going to Las Vegas for a week in February with a friend. We are going to do a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon. They land in the canyon and serve lunch and champagne. That tour has been on my bucket list for a long time, so looking forward to it. It feels so good to leave Ohio snow behind and spend time in a nice warm place during the winter.

They will tell you everything you need to know about the surgery. Have you had your 1st appointment? Did they give you a handbook to tell you what you need to do?

Good morning, everyone!

That weekend flew by. It was about 28 degrees at race time, but we waited inside until the start. I ended up running about 35 and a half minutes, which I was happy with. The Christmas party was nice and I enjoyed seeing my sister yesterday.

11 more days of wor****il the break. 7 in the office and 4 work from home. We work Monday the 23rd and then we are off until January 2nd. I'm looking forward to the break. Baylor's Bowl draw didn't work out for us to travel, so we will be home.

For me, this week is pretty busy. But I would really like to get my car serviced on Friday so that I will have most of next weekend free. I have not really started my Christmas shopping yet, so hoping to do that Saturday.

Marilyn picked up a ham for $4 in the after Thanksgiving sale. I love Ham, so will be eating it this week.

QOTD: we travel, so don't have pets, but I prefer dogs.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: catered

Dinner: Ham

Have a great day, all!

I never had a dog and always had a cat. I lost my last kitty in 2023 and debated about getting another one. I worried that I was too old, that I might not be physically able to take care of a pet, and that a new cat might damage my furniture and home.

Then I saw a cat on Facebook that was living in the woods last summer and I fell in love with his little face. I contacted the poster and asked her to try to get the cat and I would help it. I was not sure if I could keep it or not but decided I would find it a home if I was not able to deal with it.

A few days later the cat came out of the woods and the lady was able to get it in a carrier and bring it to me. He is the sweetest little guy, about two years old. And the poor kitty was declawed and left defenseless out on his own. His body was covered with scratches where other animals had attacked him.

I kept him and he is my constant companion now. He loves toys and carries his ball everywhere. He wakes me up at night and wants to play. I did not realize how much I needed him until he came. He keeps me from being depressed and is company. He was scared and cried at lot at first. But he has calmed down now. I think he knows he has a home now and is safe.

Cat lovers believe that the universe has something they call the cat distribution system. That cats and owners are matched and brought together by a power that looks after us. The cat distribution system worked for me and my little Gizmo.

Good mornin everyone.

i have an appointment this morning with pain management. I'm hoping to get my bedroom cleaned up today. Not necessarily dirty just cluttered to heck and back. Plus spiders are coming in for the season so I need to vacuum really well. It's going to be hard on my body but I've got things I need to do.

Hoping to hear about the the CGM and orthopedic surgeon referrals this week. My shoulder is just...well painful. I am tired of it.

QOTD: cats. I love both but cat's personalities just are so much fun.

B: PP pancakes, sf strawberry syrup and coffee x2

L: turkey breast meat, 1 tbs cranberry sauce and maybe a slice of light bread.

D: not sure on this one yet.
