The Steelers are looking good this year! You don't look 60, either!!

I'm looking forward to retirement for this very reason. I can feel my youth waiting for that day!

This just reminded me to re-scheule my flu/covid shots - thanks! Staying engaged is definitely more challenging these days.

Good morning! Did anyone else sing that Meme or was it just me?
Today is the five year anniversary of my surgery. Oh how things have changed. I'll bore the hell out of you at the end of this post with before and afters. I do them every year. Today, the scale sad 122.1. Last year on Oct. 29 it said 121.5. I have worked really hard at physical fitness and strength this year. I'm proud of my stability in size and weight. I love pulling out winter stuff and finding it still fits. In the old days, it was new clothes for every season to accommodate my ever growing size. Now it's new clothes because I want them.
100 percent on accountability yesterday. A 3.5 mile walk. Good food choices in excellent serving sizes. All water, all day. 422 move calories, 55 minutes of exercise, 10,239 steps. I'm up and dressed for the gym today. I'll do weights and treadmill and I'm still on the fence about the Zumba style class.
We are having date day this afternoon. Going to see Conclave and have dinner or lunch out.
QoTD: I still try to figure out how I have a 42 year old kid when I'm only about 38. I definitely tire more easily and have less patience then when I was actually young. But I feel awesome most of the time. Things hurt like hell (looking at you, hip) but I move so much more and engage in so many more opportunities. I am loving my life.
Bites today.
More leftovers for sure.
B: Shakshuka
L: chicken on protein bread with cheese. Protein chips if I am starving and have room.
D: out. or switch with lunch.
I'll have yogurt with mix ins and jerky or more chicken if needed. We don't do movie snacks or popcorn so no threats there!
Peace ya'll!

I sometimes take Tylenol when the pain is high. I used to just try to tough it out. Now I know it is better to take something when the pain is not too intense than to wait until it is unbearable.
