Hi gang. I just got back from doing some of the heavy Thanksgiving food shopping. 22.4 pound turkey, 5.4 pound boneless spiral ham, 10 cans of corn, 15 pounds of potatoes.
QOTD: JB saves some things she likes. I'll save some corn and mashed potatoes, and ham or roast beef if we have it. But I am not a fan of turkey, so we try to give that and whatever else is left over to guests as they leave. I like to be done with leftovers a couple of days after the meal.

Popeye Turkey is the best I ever had. I have cooked and ate many by some very good chefs, but nothing compares to the Popeye turkey in my opinion. Here is the issue $65. But it makes my life easier, and I love it.

Good morning everyone.
Not a whole lot happening here. Currently waiting for UPS to deliver. My boss gobsmacked me and bought an iPad for me for Christmas. Mine is on its last leg. I am so excited about it! So today I'll be transferring a lot of stuff from this iPad to a thumb drive. I have a lot of tutorials and pics I need to back up,
Our oven is out still and we're having a hard time finding an heating element for it. We found one that's 139 but we can't afford it now. Thankfully we still have a roaster for our small turkey and a nice larger toaster oven for the pies. Oh and crock pots. Will be challenging but we'll get it done. Looking forward to the ham this year.
QOTD: lots of sandwiches and we send a lot home with my brother and his family.
food is up in the air. Probably shrimp for dinner with cauliflower fried rice. Eggs for breakfast,
close up of a requested color combo for a set a client ordered!
How is the Popeye's Cajun turkey? I've seen it advertised the last few years and I do like Popeye's chicken better then KFC.
Those stuffing waffles sound good as does the turkey with peanut satay sauce. I might have to look at a few different ways to use some of the leftovers.
I should have known you would have a recipe. Please send it to me.

Your right that walk never would have happened pre surgery. I felt bad for the pregnant lady, but she didn't seem to mind. I think where we parked was a win win all around.

I have a brine recipe that has soy and brown sugar that I love on a boneless turkey breast.

Good morning Jennifer and Menuers,
Thank you for starting us off today, Jen! Ok It's Tuesday I am doing this week. Tonight, I will start on Cheesecakes for gifts and Thanksgiving dinner. I was alerted that I will be the sole chef at Thanksgiving this year. Not that anyone actually does too much anyway but DB has to work till 2. Not a big deal. Our holiday table has gotten pretty small compared to when I was young. I do buy the Popeye's precooked Cajun turkey and that is a big help. Quick and easy.
QOTD: I transform everything the stuffing becomes waffles, and we put all the fixins on top and then gravy and eat like an open-faced sandwich. Mashed potatoes become Lazy man perogies. Instead of making dough and putting the filling into every little pocket, I get lasagna noodles and layer butter onions noodle potatoes and cheese and bake like a casserole. On butterball's web site there is a pasta dish that gets the leftover turkey with a peanut satay sauce that I love. My birthday usually falls close to Thanksgiving and this year it is the Sunday after so I am having guest for the Steeler game who can finish up my transformations for me.
Accountability: Too Much Kettle corn. Wow I have so many leftovers from the weekend I do not see me cooking till Thanksgiving.
