That is probably why you do not like vegetables. Vegetables are so much different when you go out and pick them yourself. No tomato from the store can compete with one fresh off the vine. I remember going out to the garden with a salt shaker to get a fresh tomato and eat it there.

QOTD- No not a Bruce Willis fan.
Work has been a little slow so I decided I had 2 Amazon returns that I needed to run to Whole Foods. So my car doesn't start. I ended up having it towed to the dealership the tow truck driver thinks it's just a dead battery. So I'll have them look at it do the oil change, tire rotation, wiper blade replacement and whatever needs to be done. Hopefully they will replace the bad sensor on one of my tires so the low air pressure light goes out. I know it's not low as I have checked and filled the tires many times. If my roommate isn't home I'll probably either walk or Uber to pick it up. If it's not pouring down rain I may just walk as it's only 2.3 miles and there are sidewalks the whole way. I have roadside assistance on my insurance so the tow didn't cost anything.
After all the hassle to put in the cat door I think I'm going to take it out. This is dead bird # 4 and I can't let him go back out anymore. It's not fair to the birds, the cats will just have to adapt to being totally indoors again. I wish I'd never bought the stupid door it hasn't ever worked right, and it was just a pain to install. It's supposed to only let in the microchips that are programmed but it worked for a day and stop recognizing my cats. This is the second one, and I'll just close the hole in the wall and call it good.
Have a great day everyone!

Hey gang. It sounds like you had a great anniversary. And I love the logs.
I just got back from mailing some Christmas presents. It really snuck up on me -- It seems early, but the packages will only get there on the 23rd.
Food and activity are on track. Rib roasts have been on sale, and I cooked a five pound roast on Saturday and I've just been eating that. Ham cat is happy. He also jumped onto the stove and started licking the drippings.
QOTD: I don't think of it as a Christmas movie. There are movies that have Christmas as a central theme, and then those, like Die Hard, that take place at Christmas, but could have happened anytime.
My favorite spin on it was that Die Hard is a movie about someone running around a tower, always at odds with Alan Rickman. So, it's a Harry Potter movie. The other one I like is for Love Actually fans, a Christmas movie. If you watch Love Actually followed by Die Hard, at the end Alan Rickman gets punished for what he did to Emma Thompson.

We never had a garden. Neither of my parents did and sort of horticulture. They were very keen on me cutting the grass though.
My father's folks always had a garden though. All I can really remember are tomatoes and blueberry bushes, but there was other stuff.

I make stuff peppers and throw in a Ziplock freezer bag uncooked. Then in the winter I put in crockpot with Tomato soup and dry French onion soup mixed. One of my favorite meals but I do miss eating the mashed potatoes. I'll still sneak a bite or 2.

Good Morning Jen and Meneurs,
It has been a minute since I posted. Last Thursday I had to follow up on a Mammogram and fortunately it was just a blood vessel so no worries. I wasn't worried though, because it was a different tech then I usually get, and she was not as matriculas as the other girl is. So that is all over. So is decoration and I started baking. I have most gifts purchased I just need to pick up the shrimp for Christmas dinner. I can't believe it is only a week away. Oh, I also was able to secure Dinner reservations for NYE. There are 10 of us going so it should be fun. I would be a lot further along but the last two weekends I was subjected to processing deer. Ron got 3 this year and we will use it for Rudy's meals. Hims is a lucky boy.
QOTD: I guess I do not thing I ever saw it all the way through.
Accountability: I did great and even got up and cycled yesterday morning. But then I over did it at a neighbor party last evening.

Good mornin y'all!
Not a lot happening this week and boy am I grateful for that. We do need to run to Walmart today for some animal stuff. I also need to pick up a prescription. After the running around I hope to get some things done at home. I need to wash some of my mom's presents sometime this week so she can wear the, from the get go. She really wanted a lighter weight robe and soft pajamas. I also got her a ton of decaffeinated coffees. I still don't feel like I've done enough but I guess I always do/feel that way. It is what it is.
We've decided to go easy for Christmas dinner. A pot roast, French fries, maybe Mac & cheese and jalapeño poppers. Maybe a cookie platter from Sam's. Thanksgiving burned us. We about killed ourselves cleaning and cooking. Not again.
QOTD: I do! I don'****ch it often but I do consider it Christmas.
B: eggs, turkey sausage and coffee
L: not sure
D: shrimp spring rolls.
This was Opal the first Christmas we had her. She couldn't do it now. She was also our curtain climber and walker.
