One of the rules for my program was "no eating in front of screens"...wind shield, tv or computer. I'm still pretty good about not eating in the car but have gotten much worse about not eating in ring of the computer. Need to go back to that rule!

Good morning, everybody!
Normally Tuesday is my work from home day, but we have an in-person meeting and a toast to some new promotes this afternoon. So, my plan was to go into the office. But I didn't make it to Crossfit last night and didn't get up early enough to go to 6:30. So my new plan is the following: 1) take my 10:00 call from home, 2) go to Open gym and do the workout, 3) drive into the city for the meeting. It's so much easier to get to the gym at night when the daylight is longer.
Tonight we have flu shots. If I can get a COVID vaccine I will do that also. I've done the one in each arm before and it seemed fine. I've never knowingly had COVID, so I would guess that I was one of the asymptomatic ones.
QOTD: Despite today's plans, I actually don't spend that much time in my car. If at all possible, I take the train into work and most of my other destinations are pretty close to my house. But consistent with some others, if I do eat in my car now, it's a little snack vs. the drive through trips of pre-surgery.
If I eat fast food (or quick service) now, it is likely to be a Chicago Hot Dog, a deli sandwich or a piece of pizza. I would dine in (or take it home) for all of those because of the mess. Occasionally i will get breakfast at McDonalds, but the one time I ate a meal there did not go well. I don't drink a lot of coffee, so even Dunkin' Donuts is fairly infrequent for me now. I used to like to go to Boston Market, but most of those have closed.
All of this reminds me of how much I would like to have my car detailed again!
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: Chicken
Dinner: Carnitas (my son is making)
Have a great day, all!

G'morning all!
So that's why I always get weird looks when I ask for fork & knife. I'm so used to not eat the shell or the tortillas (in a burrito) that I always have to ask for a fork.
QOTD: it depends on the length of the drive. If it's just running errands I make sure I have my water or coffee. But on longer drives I'll have my epic chicken, quest chips, jerky and if I know I'll be on the road during lunch a couple of hb eggs and a tuna pouch. Pre WLS it was mostly family size M&Ms or Oreo cookies.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- TJ kebabs + leftover corn/pinto beans side
- Protein icecream - white chocolate raspberry
- E: 6 miles wog
Happy Taco Tue!

Mornin' All!
Tim Walz and Barack Obama are in town today. I got the approval to attend the rally, but I've been going back and forth about it. I hate to miss my classes, it's a several-hour thing when you factor in they're opening the gates at 10:00 AM and the thing starts at 1:30, and there will be several speakers before Walz and Obama come out. It'll also screw up my eating (they do have food at the arena (I doubt outside food is allowed, but I'll try to sneak in a protein bar), but I'm sure whatever food they have at the concession stands is not what I'm supposed to be eating. Plus I'm getting sick of politics. But then - when do these chances come around? I did see Obama years ago when he first ran - and I saw Biden back in June - and it was great fun to be there and very motivating. I don't know - maybe I should just go. I might regret it later if I skip it.
QOTD: not unless I'm taking a long (as in several hour) road trip, which is pretty rare. I don't think I ever did pre-WLS - I'd just stop somewhere. If and when I do take stuff, it's usually protein bars and individual packs of nuts or trail mix.
coffee with half & half
skyr with fruit, Danish rye with butter and jam (this is if I go to the rally, because I want something to tie me over for a long time. Otherwise, just the skyr with fruit)
I don't know about the rest of the day. Hopefully a protein bar if I'm at the rally (if I can get it in through the door).
dinner - I'm going to make celeriac soup when I get home, regardless if I go to the rally or to class. So that and some kind of protein
have a great day, everyone!!
Have fun! I was all ready to recommend Emeril's, but of course you are going to the California Universal.

Good Morning! Those legendary pastries are yummy! Yesterday was one of the more decent payroll days and today it's a few meetings but I'm hoping for a low key day. Not sure if I mentioned it already but Em and I have added Universal Studios to our concert trip next month. We've never been to universal and the tickets were buy 1 day get 1 free so we'll get to go for two days. Looking forward to a getaway, the concert, universal and most of all the time away with Em.
QOTD: Not often, sometimes I will have to eat my snack on the way to an appt or something. Now pre surgery I'd eat in there all the time, fast food while driving.
TSS: 10 years 2 months
B: SF latte, 3 turkey sausage links, and an orange
L: Turkey and cheese sticks, carrots, light and fit yogurt and some fruit
S: A piece of fruit and yogurt
D: Turkey burger on keto bun, broccoli and cheese steamer,a banana, and dark chocolate
ES: Protein ice cream and carbmaster toast
E: 1/2 hour elliptical, 1 mile on treadmill and 20 mins Pilates bar
V/W: On track

Good morning ~ I hope you get to eat some amazing tacos today! Last night for the first time since setting it up, my 6pm 'step check' reminder worked! Meaning I actually followed through and got to stepping until 10k. My foot pain wasn't bad since I was able to ice my foot quite a bit so I will keep at it. Today, I have a few back-to-back meetings in the morning and staff training in the afternoon so the day should fly. I'm on a ERP system demo team that starts tomorrow. It will be a super time suck over the next few weeks so I need to do a serious calendar check for deadlines.
This came up recently IRL:
QOTD: Do you eat in your car? What does that look like now compared to pre WLS? Post WLS - Yes, when I'm on a road trip. I'll bring protein snacks and I aways plan an In-n-Out burger stop. Otherwise, the occasional jerky or like the other day an impulse buy of cheddar jalapeno skinny pop I just had to try (tasty, but super dry) there are worse things. Pre WLS - all the time -bags of chips/pretzels and fast food were a regular thing in my car so that no one would see me.
Accountability - Excellent! 57 active minutes, 10,844 steps. Today I am 168.2, 30 minutes done on the treadmill, stretching and a 20-minute resistance workout after work.
B - coffee, legendary pasty
L - chicken and mini Caesar salad
D - tri tip tacos
s- hot quest chips w/greek yogurt
Have a wonderful day!

Thank you for the link!! I thought they stopped making it and you were making your own. I love the Quaker one, it's really good.
