Good mornin Jennifer and all.
Not just a whole lot to do today. We need to go get dog food but that's the only thing we have to do.
The appointment went ok. I am going to switch providers. I may wait until after the next appointment. My case manager said a lot of people say the same things about the guy. Never listens, says the same **** over and over and doesn't read your chart. I am done. There is only one other provider I haven't done anything with yet. My provider also told me if I can't get in with her that they'll work with me to find a private practice provider. I am relieved, to say the least.
food ended up different yesterday. For lunch I had a fresh tamale (green cheese and chilies) with a bit of salsa. Also strawberries. I also ahead a sliver of supreme pizza...all tracked.
QOTD: I am working on stress eating the most. So far I'm doing better. It is my hardest thing. I gave in Saturday but I didn't go nuts. I stopped and didn't throw the entire day away,
B: eggs, Gorgonzola, and snack crackers...coffee
L: not 100% sure. Prob a salad with a chicken breast fillet. Maybe cheese on it and an apple with 1tbs PB
D: pork teriyaki stir fry.
S: veggies and the rest of strawberries with some whipped cream
have a good one y'all.
me in I believe 3rd or 4th grade.
Morning Gang. We have LOTO training going on which stands for lockout tagout due to the fact that at a few other facilities there have been injuries because of improperly locking out equipment. There will be another training like this on Thursday to get the rest of the employees who couldn't make it today.
I cleaned off my center island last night. It amazes me how much junk can accumulate on a flat surface. Irvin is looking to go back to work even though he's retired. He's just bored at home and wants to make extra money to buy land.
QOTD: What's a weight loss thing you're working on this year? I'm working on a more structured workout plan. Yea we've been going to the Y, but honestly, we've been doing a little of this and that and nothing really structured. I'm going to see about getting with one of the personal trainers to get on a schedule.
B: coffee and breakfast wrap with egg/bacon/cheese
L: leftover pot roast
D: skipping dinner working towards doing one meal a day
Irvin did a 4 day fast and got his blood sugar down to 95 and he's doing OMAD with it being a good high protein.
We will discuss tonight how we want to go forward with the workouts.
Have a great day everyone!!!

I did the subscription and use the app on my iPad and their website based tools too. It's not the cheapest. I paid 115 for a year. A lot for me. But when you add up Ww it's by far more expensive. It just seems to make sense to me for some reason.
they also have a book that's I've read before and multiple recipe books. It was a little tricky to find the link to their program at first. Almost like it's kind of hidden. They have tons of informative videos, articles and such. If you join they have a FB group that the clinic actually interacts with and answers questions. If you do join a year is the cheapest option by far. You get access to a lot of their ebooks included.
they suggest following their recipes for the first two weeks but I'm not really doing that. I am doing the tracking freestyle like and I chose the simple plan. They have a few different plans including diabetes, glp-1 friendly, Hewlett-Packard healthy and a couple more I believe,
Let me see if this link works.

I sure do agree!
thanks!
the appointment went ok, the connection gave out a few times but it was still good. My mom will likely be this way for the rest of her life. Since her stroke she is just a different person. Some of it is the same though as when I was growing up. She yells a lot and that stresses me out to no end and triggers a trauma response. I handle to usually better but it's been bad since November. I'm going to have to find a better way to deal with it.

Mel,
where did you find info on the Mayo Clinic diet?? Is it a subscription?? I need to get myself back on track.
I wish more readers would post, but alas we can't force people to do something they don't want to.
That is great news about the Mayo diet. Sorry to hear about your mom. I know she struggles with things. Here's to a good phone appointment.

Good morning Jennifer and all you readers.
I have an appointment on the phone at 10. My brother and his family are coming over for lunch. The kids head back to school tomorrow.
I started the Mayo Clinic diet Friday, had a bad Saturday and the other days have been great with it. It's easy enough, I don't do the recipes for the most part. I do freestyle. I like it a lot so far. My blood sugar numbers have been better.
QOTD: not great personally. My mom is off kilter. I got so stressed out so badly I almost threw up. Food wise is good though. I haven't turned to food but for Saturday and even then it could've been way worse.
B: egg, toast and cheese. For my pill taking snack it was a 100 calorie cracker snack. Of course coffee
L: I'm not sure. I'm thinking a tuna sandwich. We found some really good canned tuna that is so so good. It'll be low carb bread with 3 ozs tuna, tomatoes, onion and cheese. Strawberries with a bit of half and half.
D: it's unknown at this time. It may be a salad.
Snacks is an apple with pb. Maybe some bell pepper strips and hummus.
Happy Monday Gang!! What a great weekend. We finally got the meat rabbits to freezer camp and I couldn't be happier. They dressed out between 2.5 and 3 lbs. each which is pretty good. So now we have another protein option in the freezer. I'm getting a group of people together for some freedom ranger meat chickens to be ordered for the Spring. I'm finding it is cheaper in the long run to raise more of our own animals than to purchase meats in the supermarket. The prices keep going up and up and the quality of the meat isn't as good as it was. I'm lucky to have a farm nearby that makes their own animal fed that can purchased in bulk.
We have a lot of stuff going on already at work. A training on Wednesday and a third-party audit on Thursday. I have a feeling 2026 at work is going to be a hellish year.
QOTD: How has 2026 started off for you? So far at home it has been pretty darn good. At work well that's another story. LOL
B: coffee and protein shake
L: steak quesadilla
D: turkey salad over toss salad
Hitting the Y for some weights and treadmill
Have a great day everyone!!!
Good Friday Morning Gang!! So I woke up yesterday to 5 inches of snow and no internet. Which was kind of a bummer. I did have a nice Christmas, birthday and New Year's Eve though.
Back to work today and boy did our plant go out with bang in 2025. I found out this morning that on the 26th our plant went black which means the turbine was tripped and took the entire plant offline. The plant was finally back up and running on the 31st, but it really backed up the tipping floor since we couldn't process any trash. I have a ton of work to do for month and year end so today should fly by.
QOTD: Do you make any New Year's resolutions? Years ago I did, but I found that I never stuck with them so instead I just focus on doing something each month whether it's cleaning out a space or reorganizing stuff.
B: coffee and protein shake
L: Leftover steak
D: turkey salad
Hitting the Y tonight and then just chilling.
Have a great day everyone!!
Hi everyone! I know I've been quiet lately, and I've missed this community so much. Life has been a total whirlwind! Between a busy work schedule and the chaos of moving into a new place, I've barely had a moment to sit down.
On top of all that, I have been working hard on the "behind-the-scenes" requirements to qualify for weight loss surgery. It's a long road with lots of appointments and checkboxes, but I'm staying focused on the finish line.
Looking Ahead
As we kick off this New Year, I want to wish every single one of you the best. I hope 2026 is the year we all hit those milestones we've been dreaming of. Whether your goal is a number on the scale, a feeling in your body, or just more peace of mind--I believe in you!
