Good Morning! Well I am at work since I chickened out asking for the day off but realistically I need to meet with my team today since it's a little quieter this week it's good to set the time aside to touch base and set (reset) goals and what-not. I also do have a few takeaways from the meetings I had yesterday so it's all good.

QOTD: I think between the two I would lean towards apple as well. Cheese on top? that intrgues me a bit.

Today's menu is the same as Monday and yesterday, exercise done and I'll get in my vits and water.

Let's make it a great day!

Good morning, everyone!

There was some sort of administrative mixup, so I wasn't able to get my extraction yesterday. They rescheduled it until Thursday morning. My son and I are going fishing Friday through Sunday and are driving up Thursday afternoon. I told him the good news is that we won't have to drive in the dark, but the bad news is I will probably sleep the whole way up there.

This is unscientific, but I estimate that I now have 100 in office days left. There are 59 weeks until retirement. Even with a three day a week base, when I figure in vacation, conferences, office closures, a couple of weeks of work from Florida next winter, and a tailing off of in-office next summer, I think I'm right around 100.

I plan to stay on a fairly normal schedule through next May, I have a number of work and personal trips next June, and then probably only go into the office on an as- needed basis July-September.

We have Happy Hour tonight, but it will be low key with my extraction tomorrow morning.

QOTD: absolutely Apple.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: catered

Dinner: Tortellini

Have a great day, all!

good mornin y'all.

It's been a rough night for me, my upper right arm and shoulder are swollen up and super super painful. The contrast they injected leaked out of the joint more so than expected and it's causing those pains to be worse. Having a hard time lifting my arm too high. The results weren't great. There is no rotator cuff tear but there is other serious things.

the results:

There is a tear of the posterior superior and posterior inferior labrum, with a 3 mm

elevated flap (series 2 image 43, series 5 image 91, series 4 image 73). No other labral

tear or SLAP lesion is seen. No paralabral cyst is identified.

There is no glenohumeral arthropathy, subluxation, or dislocation.

There is prominent acromioclavicular arthropathy for a 44-year-old patient, with joint

space narrowing, cortical irregularity, subchondral cyst formation, and mild spur

formation. There is anterior downsloping of a type II acromion narrowing the

acromiohumeral interval to 8 mm.

No fracture is seen. No other osseous or soft tissue abnormality is seen.

IMPRESSION:

Tear of the posterior superior and posterior inferior labrum.

Prominent acromioclavicular arthropathy, advanced for age. Anterior downsloping of the

acromion narrowing the acromiohumeral interval.

No rotator cuff tear is seen. There is mild atrophy of part of the superior half of the

subscapularis muscle.

Prominent acromioclavicular arthropathy for a 44-year-old patient.

it is what it is.

Not sure what the plan is for the day. We had a water main break just a house north of us. We didn't have running wate for 6 or so hours. Might lose it again today because I'm not sure if they finished all the way. I'd like a rest day today but that remains to be seen.

Glad to hear about the Ryze drink. I hope you'll continue to let us know how it does!

QOTD: I'd rather have a buttermilk or chess pie. Lol if I had to choose one of them it'd be apple with a Dutch crumb topping.

B: egg, feta , corn tortilla and coffee

L: ????

D: I'm thinking a chicken breast shredded into half a pita.

Happy Hump Day Gang!! I done wore myself out yesterday. Didn't leave wor****il 5 due to issues in the plant and for whatever reason we had a ton extra trucks come in later in the day of course I couldn't just leave with no one to cover the scale so I stayed. Got home and weighed out all the ground pork 23lbs of it. Didn't make it to the Y there just wasn't enough time. Irvin put a fan in the big hutch for the rabbits due to the heat. He spoils the crap out of the animals.

I tried the RYZE mushroom coffee and honestly it wasn't that bad at all. Tastes nothing like mushrooms or coffee it's kind of like a creamy tea very unique. I'll continue to drink it.

QOTD: With Fall quickly approaching I start thinking about things to bake which do you prefer apple pie or pumpkin pie? I make both and like both, but I do like apple pie just a little bit more than pumpkin especially with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream on top or a slice of really good cheddar cheese.

B: RYZE coffee and 2 egg bites

L: 4 chicken salad stuffed jalapeno peppers

D: butter chicken

Skipping exercise today as I have a few things to do tonight at the house.

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!!!

Topic: RE: Have you found it challenging to stick to your diet during the holidays?

It can be. I am in a smaller town, and don't have access to much besides fast food. I'm currently on a Mediterranean diet plan so I try to eat lean meats like chicken and fish, lots of fruits and veggies, and healthy fats like nuts. Since my town doesn't have grocery stores that sell those items, I end up eating more pasta or bread.

I have learned to find ways to keep myself busy during holidays. My family has a tradition where we go out after Thanksgiving dinner to see the lights around our small town. We all go our separate ways for Christmas and New Years, so I usually spend that time with friends or doing things for me.

The biggest thing is learning what triggers you to over eat, and finding ways to either avoid those situations, or find a way to control yourself in them.

Super super late response for me. Yesterday sucked...big time. My CT scan was done and I had the results by 4. Not exactly great news. at least the rotator cuff wasn't injured as well.

it is what it is. I'm pretty upset as there is a major chance I'll have to give up my chianmaille hobby. I may be over thinking it or jumping to conclusions. Hopefully I'll get an appointment with the orthopedic doctor by the end of this week but if not I'll call Monday. I am unbelievably sore as the contrast they injected into the joint leaked out more than they anticipated. It's really swollen and my arm is just the sorest it's ever been.

We also had the water main break just once house down from us. We had no water from 2pm until 10 pm, it's brown too but getting clearer. Apparently it was a bad break but at least they got right in it. We may lose it some today as I don't think they are completely done.

QOTD: I'll be honest...the thought of it makes me kind of squeamish. I love mushrooms for eating but hate hate hate kombucha and I'm afraid the coffee would have the same effect. Saying that, I would try it if given it but wouldn't buy a whole package at first.

Food was a little wild. All combined ai had around 1800 calories.

Is your gardening like mine where all the most labor intensive crops all overlap each other ripening at the same time? I need to be picking apples for the food bank (I have way too much sauce and juice canned), the blackcurrants are ripe and the plum tree needs to be juiced and canned. All while the tiny garden pumps put green beans, cherry tomatoes, Korean cucumbers and of course, zucchini! Hahaha

Storms are wonderful, especially if there is thunder and lightening. Yours sounded awesome. Hope your DMV appointment went well (and quickly!).

QOTD: As summer winds down I'm so tired of the dry heat and just over the garden. I'm pretty much only outside in the morning when the dew gives a false impression of a mild day.

Your dinner sounds like it was delicious. It's been a few years since I've made that but it would be a great menu idea, thanks.

After yesterday's fiasco eating I took it easy on the pouch.

B: My frosty chocolate protein shake.

L: a strawberry Outreach skinny popsicle. It was good but not worth the carbs.

D: 1 cup of ff Greek yogurt w/1tsp sugar free jello powder stirred in.

Wardrobe chaos trying to find something for the funeral. My black skirt falls down past my hips. Now I have an alteration job. Tomorrow errands galore and cleaning the car. Meanwhile I have 12 big Korean cucumbers from the garden taunting me. No time to deliver to the food bank, ugh.

Hope you get a restful sleep, see you in the morning.

QOTD: Well with having a small farm there are always outdoor activities that need to be done daily, but as the weather gets cooler and the days shorter I start to shift towards what do I have to get put up before snow falls. Like you I definitely get a bunch more physical activity in the Summer time there is always something going on.

When I was younger I walked or rode my bike all Spring, Summer, and Fall. Now I am happy to be at the pool and sitting in the sun. I am usually cold and appreciate the hot days and warm sunshine. Winter gets more depressing every year and I understand why people to south. I keep thinking about North Carolina. My sister and her husband have a home there and said I can move in with them any time.

I love my condo and my cat so staying here as long as I can.
