I am glad the new location in the office is good and I hope you get your meeting soon.
Good Afternoon, I can imagine how tired you guys were-you are always on the go. Today has been a project day and trying to keep things flowing since I have Friday off.
QOTD: I have cried at several movies. Most recently was when Em and I went and saw The Little Mermaid- it wasn't the movie itself but just the memories of Em loving the movie so much and the magic of seeing her when she met her at Disneyland.
Good Afternoon on Friday-eve! I think the red looks great, so bright. I hope you enjoy the long weekend. Im jumping back into training mode with my new employee and she still seems to be fitting in good.
QOTD: I have an appt for a cut/color and prepping for my trip to San Diego next Friday and definitely some relaxation time.

Have you ever watched, Miracle in Cell NO 7? If not, I think it would be a great film for a discussion group.

I remember "Brian's Song"! I think I was in 8th grade when it came out. And yes - it was really sad!
G'afternoon, All!
I had physical therapy this morning and then one of my film groups immediately after. I was thinking of running some errands this afternoon, but it's rainy and gloomy and none of the errands are critical, so I think I'll just stay home and read. Or nap. Or maybe make some protein muffins.
I have a third cousin whom I've never met who lives in California (our great grandmothers were sisters back in what is now Romania (at the time it was part of Austria-Hungary). We "met" via DNA testing and have been Facebook friends ever since. Anyway, I found out last night that her daughter just accepted a job in Madison (where I live), so I told her to please give her daughter my email address and phone number - we can be her home away from home! (and at minimum, I want to meet her!). And the really weird thing is that her OTHER daughter will be moving to Reno to do her residency in psychiatry - and my sister lives in Reno! So weird. Anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting the one bound for Madison! (wouldn't our great grandmothers be weirded out that their respective great granddaughters would meet up over 100 years later in a country thousands of miles away??)
QOTD: I almost never cry, at movies or otherwise, but I did shed a few tears at the end of an Irish film called "Nowhere Special" that I watched for one of my film groups a few weeks ago. It wasn't one of those movies that was intentionally trying to manipulate my emotions (which ticks me off..) - it was genuinely a sad movie. Everyone at the discussion group had the same reaction.
B: plain Greek yogurt with a sliced kiwi, coffee with half & half
MS: I had a rugelach and a mini scone at the film group meeting (I hate it when people bring food! It's hard for me to resist!)
L: protein shake
AS: probably yogurt and something crunchy like Skinny Pop
D: broccoli cheese soup - not sure what else
Have a great day, everyone!
I used to work in a computer room that was completely closed in. We would call someone up front to see what the weather was doing. It is nice to have a window.

Good morning, everybody!
I am running late because I went to pick up Marilyn from the airport. Traffic was pretty heavy both ways, so glad to be off of the roads. Marilyn went from poolside to 57 and rainy in Chicago, so she is still adjusting.
My son and I are going for a fishing trip this weekend, so I need to get packed up for that. Plus I need to get to the gym.
QOTD: I can't think of one right now.
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: chili
Dinner: burgers
Have a great, day all!

Good mornin y'all.
Been a busy day so far! Finally found a pharmacy that had pregablin so we picked it up and went to Walmart with my nieces and nephew. What a load of fun that was...NOT! They are a handful in that setting. The rest of the day will just be putting around the house. I may go through some stuff in my room. I'll also work on some jewelry.
weighed in this morning and broke the stall. Down 1.2 pounds. I am relieved. I had 200 extra calories yesterday so maybe my system just needed a jolt.
QOTD: Saving Private Ryan...Band of Brothers and Schindler's List. I probably will never watch them again because it wrecks me.
B: egg burrito and coffee.
L: chicken tender and maybe some tomato.
D: undecided
have a great one y'all!
The last thing that made me cry was not a movie. It was a book called Horse by Geraldine Brooks. It is a fascinating story about how horseracing started in Kentucky in the south.
it gets into slavery and mistreatment of horses used for racing. A little hard to get into the book for the first chapter or 2 but then really becomes an amazing story.
