Good Evening! I had a jam packed day but all is good! I ordered a gift for a friend that finally came in today and can't wait to get it to her tomorrow and I hope she's as excited about it as I am!
QOTD: We pay monthly roughly $100 for curbside weekly pickup and the cost includes water, sewer and trash.

Hello All and Happy Wednesday,
Is everyone gone from the daily posting? Where'd everyone go?
QOTD- We have garbage cans here in the alleys along with recycle bins. Garbage trucks go down the alleys to pick up trash bins. Alleys are an interesting creature here in Chicago. They used to be used by kids to play wiffle ball, kick ball, etc. Now, they're basically an all you can eat buffet for rats. The rats are as big as dogs, mystery substances, weirdos, alley mechanics, no longer cut throughs due to the amount of nails and broken glass.

Morning Gang. We are halfway through another week. I came home to a mowed lawn. I didn't think Irvin was going to mow it since I told him I wanted to do it, but he got his stuff done and decided to play around with the mower. He had some old tires cut up so I loaded them in the car to take into work to throw in the trash along with some other stuff. That is a great benefit of working at a waste to energy plant. You have free trash disposal.
QOTD: Speaking of trash removal do you have residential pickup, take it to a dump, have a dumpster, etc? When I was growing up in RI the little town we lived in had a dump or small transfer station that my mom would bring the trash to weekly, then when I moved to my own house in Scituate, RI we had weekly trash pickup that the town paid for. When we moved to CT we originally had to pay for stickers to put on the trash bags, but then a few years later I got the job at the plant and haven't had to pay for trash removal since then. I will tell you the cost for trash pickup keeps going up and up with only some towns covering the cost while the homeowners have to dish out several hundreds of dollars a year. It's crazy.

We got a huge rat in our basement when I was about 12. There was bags of cornmeal down there and it was eating that. I was in the basement one night and saw it. My father used poison and got it but I am still afraid of that old basement, when I was first married we had a mouse get in. I imagined it was a huge rat and was afraid to sleep that night.
It was in a trap in the morning and I saw how tiny it was. After that I got a cat and felt safer. Snakes are scary too.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good Tuesday morning gang. Yesterday was a beautiful day only wish I didn't have to work. The new blades and back tires for the zero turn came in and Irvin will work on getting them installed today so I can get the lawn mowed.
We moved the last 5 meat chickens to the big coop and can now clean out the box truck body so we can move the goats down into the paddock we made for them. Positive they are both pregnant which we are very excited about. I got my potatoes planted and then just worked on little things here and there.
Meisha found a dove in the greenhouse that was stuck in the netting. Instead of hurting it she laid down next to it and waited for me to come over and untangle it. Then I picked it up and let it go. I was proud of her because she is such a good hunter and usually attacks birds, but not this time.
QOTD: What's an animal that scares you? Snakes all the way. For me it's the fact that an animal can move so fast without legs. They are the reason I need to keep the lawn mowed down. I don't like those suckers sneaking up on me. Of course I think I scare them more than they scare me since I scream like a banshee. LOL

Well, I went for the infusion today and once again I failed. Reaction started but nurse was able to get it stopped before it got bad. Her name was Wanda and she was also a success story having undergone gastric sleeve 10 yrs ago. Excellent nurse on top of her game. Thank goodness for nurses like her.
