I wish more readers would post, but alas we can't force people to do something they don't want to.
That is great news about the Mayo diet. Sorry to hear about your mom. I know she struggles with things. Here's to a good phone appointment.

Good morning Jennifer and all you readers.
I have an appointment on the phone at 10. My brother and his family are coming over for lunch. The kids head back to school tomorrow.
I started the Mayo Clinic diet Friday, had a bad Saturday and the other days have been great with it. It's easy enough, I don't do the recipes for the most part. I do freestyle. I like it a lot so far. My blood sugar numbers have been better.
QOTD: not great personally. My mom is off kilter. I got so stressed out so badly I almost threw up. Food wise is good though. I haven't turned to food but for Saturday and even then it could've been way worse.
B: egg, toast and cheese. For my pill taking snack it was a 100 calorie cracker snack. Of course coffee
L: I'm not sure. I'm thinking a tuna sandwich. We found some really good canned tuna that is so so good. It'll be low carb bread with 3 ozs tuna, tomatoes, onion and cheese. Strawberries with a bit of half and half.
D: it's unknown at this time. It may be a salad.
Snacks is an apple with pb. Maybe some bell pepper strips and hummus.
Happy Monday Gang!! What a great weekend. We finally got the meat rabbits to freezer camp and I couldn't be happier. They dressed out between 2.5 and 3 lbs. each which is pretty good. So now we have another protein option in the freezer. I'm getting a group of people together for some freedom ranger meat chickens to be ordered for the Spring. I'm finding it is cheaper in the long run to raise more of our own animals than to purchase meats in the supermarket. The prices keep going up and up and the quality of the meat isn't as good as it was. I'm lucky to have a farm nearby that makes their own animal fed that can purchased in bulk.
We have a lot of stuff going on already at work. A training on Wednesday and a third-party audit on Thursday. I have a feeling 2026 at work is going to be a hellish year.
QOTD: How has 2026 started off for you? So far at home it has been pretty darn good. At work well that's another story. LOL
B: coffee and protein shake
L: steak quesadilla
D: turkey salad over toss salad
Hitting the Y for some weights and treadmill
Have a great day everyone!!!
Good Friday Morning Gang!! So I woke up yesterday to 5 inches of snow and no internet. Which was kind of a bummer. I did have a nice Christmas, birthday and New Year's Eve though.
Back to work today and boy did our plant go out with bang in 2025. I found out this morning that on the 26th our plant went black which means the turbine was tripped and took the entire plant offline. The plant was finally back up and running on the 31st, but it really backed up the tipping floor since we couldn't process any trash. I have a ton of work to do for month and year end so today should fly by.
QOTD: Do you make any New Year's resolutions? Years ago I did, but I found that I never stuck with them so instead I just focus on doing something each month whether it's cleaning out a space or reorganizing stuff.
B: coffee and protein shake
L: Leftover steak
D: turkey salad
Hitting the Y tonight and then just chilling.
Have a great day everyone!!
Hi everyone! I know I've been quiet lately, and I've missed this community so much. Life has been a total whirlwind! Between a busy work schedule and the chaos of moving into a new place, I've barely had a moment to sit down.
On top of all that, I have been working hard on the "behind-the-scenes" requirements to qualify for weight loss surgery. It's a long road with lots of appointments and checkboxes, but I'm staying focused on the finish line.
Looking Ahead
As we kick off this New Year, I want to wish every single one of you the best. I hope 2026 is the year we all hit those milestones we've been dreaming of. Whether your goal is a number on the scale, a feeling in your body, or just more peace of mind--I believe in you!

Good mornin Jennifer!
not a lot planned for the day. I have my PT assessment this morning...we might get some stuff at Walmart.
i decided to start the Mayo Clinic diet Friday. I signed up for the program for GLP-1 users. So I need to get just a handful of groceries. I need to get my ass in gear for sure.
I am having issues with hair falling out already due to the shoulder. Speaking of which is doing ok. Still having occasional severe pain but it is getting better. Still feels really tight on the big incision. The muscles have definitely not healed yet but I know it takes time so I knew it'd be this way.
wishing you all a wonderful new year and let's hope it's better for all of us.
my food will probably be satay and a cup of pad thai.
Good New Year's Eve gang!!! This is going to be quick because I got up late and my daughter is going to cut my hair. Since I had my colonoscopy a few months ago my hair has been thinning due to being under anesthesia. It happens every time to me and my hair is looking rather rough.
Not going to eat anything today just because we are having sirloin steak, stuffed mushroom, clam chowder and shrimp ****tail.
Wishing you all a safe and Happy New Year. See you all next year. :)
Good Morning gang!! Boy is it cold here today. We have a high of 20 degrees, but a windchill that is putting us in single digits. Later on we are supposed to have 50-60 mph gusts not looking forward to that.
Finally got my microwave table put together only had it in a box for 6 months. LOL I have some cleaning to do in the house, but other than that it's kinda just going to be a lazy day. The Y is currently closed for a few days for cleaning of the entire building. I guess it'something they do twice a year.
I'm waiting hear back from the weight loss center about a sooner appointment since they currently have me down for May 8th.
B: coffee and 2 eggs with ham
L: just more leftover soups
D: veal and mushrooms
Have a great day everyone!!

Happy Belated Birthday! How cool that you got to go to an H Mart and your tabletop setup looks phenomenal. Those Perilla leaves are beautiful, I've grown them for a couple of years but they never get to that commercial size. We have three small Asian markets in Spokane but no H Marts. That must have been a fun shopping trip and a great way to celebrate your birthday!
QOTD: I was supposed to have my last follow-up with the plastic surgeon on NYE but the fam has shared their head colds with me so I'll have to reschedule. We never do much on the 1st. I'm hoping to get some sewing accomplished.
Food that happened today: My home-blended protein shake that covered B & L, free snacked on a blend of rice/corn Chex...bet it was around a cup altogether; 3 oz chicken breast and ho****er for dinner. Probably a protein shake or bar this evening with more ho****er.
