Mandy - you look wonderful! And congrats! I'm waiting on weight lifting clearance from the PA on Monday but want to get into it. I've always been large framed and afraid of weight lifting but have learned all the "bulk" myths are just that - plain myths. Anyway, a friend of mine is a bikini model and shared a website that shows the proper lifting techniques - you just click on the part of the body you want to work and it shows a short video. I'm sure you know about it but for those who would like to start, thought I'd share

Do you have any fav websites for weight lifting education?

Happy lifting!

I spend tons of time on the bodybuilding . com forums. The articles are mostly atiquated junk and "bro" science though.

When i need to know how to do a lift, I generally just check you tube. There are tons of videos on there for every lift imaginable!

You look so good.   i got some hand weihts and was looking on youtube for some workout ideas and found kettlebells and i LOVE them,   i can really see the difference in my arms and i'm losing inches.   I am someone who hated to exercise and now i can't wait to do my bells  lol   i'm sure i'll never look as good as you as i'm a lot older but i do look better and will continue to get stronger.   You have always inspired me to do better and i just wanted to say thank you.   You are a beautiful  healthy gal and i always enjoy your posts,   thanks for paying it forward  :o) jeani

You don't look older. I'm 40, btw.

I heard kettleballs are good. Never tried them.

Hot damn! You are looking fantastic! I can't wait until I can start working out again. At only 10 days post op I guess I'll just have to be patient but nothing made me more confident than when I was weight training. I was rock hard and hot as hell. I lost 60+ lbs a couple yrs ago working with a PT and I was pretty tight although not as tight as you are! Wow! Can't wait to get back there again!

Yes! I think it gives a confidence that's hard to beat. Definitely not even close the type of confidence I had back in the day when i was running. But then again, all the running in the world didn't make my body look very good...just smaller.

But I like to be badass so moving heavy stuff makes me feel good. =)
