What does your normal day look like? What about exercise? How is what you are doing working for you?

I'm with Frisco and the others.  In weight loss I did aroundless than 600 and 40 per day.  In Maintenance I do between 80-100 a day at 1200 calories.

Rob, are you on myfitnesspal and if so, can you give me your name on there so I can view what you eat in maintenance?  I need to start and want to get an idea.
Thanks,
Kitsy

I can tell you what I did during WL, but what I think is more important is to find out if your NUT is someone who is well versed in working with bariatric patients and the caloric needs of someone who has been morbidly obese. Sadly, a lot of nuts being used in bariatric programs today err on the side "normal weight loss" practices for those who are merely overweight and don't have metabolic issues like those of us who are obese do have.

My program didn't offer a carb limit, but my surgeon was very clear that following his plan I would be following a very low carb diet. I needed a number, so I went with the standard 40. (Turns out my doc's plan was even a bit lower when I decided to count the carbs in his meal plans! )

My plan also called for calories to gradually increase from 400 daily the first few weeks to 500 to 600 during mushies and soft foods and the introduction of solids  and then, finally,  around month three to stabalize between 600 & 800 calories daily. I was around 700-750 most days near the end of my WL phase. Kept carbs to 40 all the way along.

NUTS are crazy...and the other ones are high in carbs...but that aside.

What most nutritionists fail to realize is that those of us *****ach obesity and morbid obesity are card SENSITIVE.  Not all but many and as such when we eat them we don't lose and/or gain.

So do THIS to ease your brain.  Go 2 weeks and do what WE say...the ones who have been there, done that.  And see how it goes.  If you HATE us for giving you what WE know to work then you can always do what YOUR nutritionist says.
