How I am doing 7 months out.

I am down a total of 143 pounds since I started my weight loss journey.

I am down -93.6 since I got sleeved on March 19th.  I am 10 pounds from my medical goal.

To date, I got a neck lift three weeks ago, bcos of loose skin.  My weight loss showed up in my neck.  

The recovery from the neck lift was rougher than I expected, but I am glad I did it!  No regrets!

I will get a tummy tuck done in January, 2013.

Congratulations Brenda, you look amazing! Such an inspiration!, if I may ask, I just started losing, but at almost 50 I think I will end up needing a neck lift too. Would you message me on cost and how it went? It'll be probably a year before I would do it, but curious.

I am 53 years old.  My weight loss very much showed in my neck.  That is why I had to get it done.

The cost was $6,500 and worth every penny.  

The recovery is rough, and not as easy as it says on the web sites.  I was on Oxycodone and muscle relaxants for 9 days.  What they don't tell you is... you lose your sense of feeling in your face until the nerves grow back.  Right now, I have feeling in about 75% of my face down to my chin area.   It will take weeks or months for it to return, but it will return.  You will have a drain for about a week, but that isn't so bad.  Your face will be bruised and swollen, and you will not recognize yourself... know, you get better fast.  After 2 weeks you will look pretty normal,. but not completely.  I am still swollen and I am just over 3 weeks out.  

I highly recommend a neck lift if you need it.  I really needed it!
