And the Fairytale Continues...I'm engaged!
He wanted to have a Halloween party. I said "eh, we have others to go to and we are too busy" but he pressed on. Then he said "let's be Cinderella and Prince Charming" but because he had wanted to be scary last year, I advocated scary before finding a cute cinderella costume and relenting. This was all part of his master plan (thank goodness I didn't ruin it--there were a couple close calls!). So last weekend while I was with my mother on a kitchen tour, unbeknownst to me he slipped over to my house and asked my dad for his blessing. Friday we were getting ready for the party and he kept saying "hurry we have to take pictures." He said "Oh I need to try on your glass slipper Cinderella." And so he knelt down, slipped it on, and said "it fits." Then he said something which I cannot exactly remember due to my shock as he was reaching for the most gorgeous ring. I imagine it went something like "will you marry me?" To which I, in a completely stunned state, replied "Are you serious?" I repeated that once more before realizing that it was not some crazy joke and said yes! So the halloween party ended up as a sort of engagement party!
Oh, and just FYI, I'm still holding tight at my low weight. Would like to lose some for the wedding and/or firm up. 2 and almost 1/2 years out, I've lost 127lbs. And with my stomach the ball of nerves it is right now, maybe soon to be more.
