On the other side of the Mountain

My surgery was Monday morning, left the hospital at 2pm yesterday.  It was so much easier than I thought!  One of the first things I did out of recovery  was grab my IV bag and went for a walk.  I got my blood and gases moving! I felt great a bit sore but the walking was the key, helped so much with the discomfort of just laying in bed.  Stopped taking the pain meds yesterday, alittle uncomfortable but nothing that requirs pain meds.  My advise, don't lay in bed be proactive after surgery and get moving!

Cheers!

Thanks so much for the well wishes and the supportive comments.  I have to say, thank you to everyone who contributes and asks questions.  It makes this journey feel so much more worth while, you are not alone!  I love reading about each experience and how generous people are with their responses.  Thank you!
