If you are on Facebook you may want to check out the new Facebook Page Dr. Keshishian has started under the Practice name of "Central Valley Bariatrics"

Regardless of who your surgeon is, you might find it will contain interesting information as time goes on.

Some really interesting videos posted on their FB page! I'll have to watch those! I'm definitely going to read that blog post about iron-deficiency anemia. Heaven knows I could use some sage advice there! Thanks for sharing! I'm always in the market to learn from respectable surgeons :)

I completely concur!  I have had iron deficiency anemia since I was a toddler..I went to read the blog post on the page. Very informative. Not that I am not happy with my surgeon here..however from what I've seen..would have gone to him in a heartbeat !

I have heard nothing but positive things about Dr. Keshishian.  He was on my short list when I was looking for surgeons.  He's one of the top surgeons performing the DS, isn't he?

Yes, I guess he's a master of the DS.  He also does plenty of the other WLS.  He explains all of them, the pros and cons, and lets you decide what is best course of action for your life.  He also explains if he does the sleeve, you can go back and change to DS very easily.  He makes it look very easy.  I had my surgery on Friday and was back to work on Monday.

Edited to add - my surgery was actually a band to sleeve revision.  I forget about the band part because it was really, truly a breezy recovery.

That's amazing.  It's great to know there is one surgeon in California who is skilled, professional and doesn't need a cult following to massage his ego.

I have never heard one negative thing about him - he's always the go-to for complicated surgeries because he is so skilled - not just a VSG mill!  If I ever had a problem with my surgery, he would be my go-to - I'd be happy to travel to be seen by him.
