Am I eating too much?

It is so hard to learn our new lifestyle!  I have found that if I put more on my plate, I eat more.  When I measure, it looks SO tiny, but once I eat it I never have to go back for more.  That works for me.  You'll find what works for you!

Hey Tina!  Hope you are well.  I should have added to my post that my meatball was BIG.  It was probably 5 ounces and I got in 85% of it.  It was A BIG yummy NJ meatball from one of my favorite places while visiting my family. :D

Hey Rox! I'm doing well, how about you? Wow! That IS a big meatball! Lol. It wasn't just your post though. A lot of posts say how stuffed people feel after eating so little & I was wondering what that feeling was because I ate a whole burger & felt fine!

By the way, what part of NJ were you visiting?

I've eaten too much/too fast twice now - believe me - you do not want to feel THAT!

I could have ground meats within the first week so really, every doctor is different and, well, I just accept it.  I am not on a liquid diet and never was after surgery.  Maybe I'd have quicker results, but that's not my surgeon's plan for me.   So don't freak out that you're doing what's allowed.  I just learned this for myself.  I was becoming obsessed already listening to other people's surgeons on boards.  I find the information interesting, but that's not my doc.

Since my first visit to this site, I have been amazed at the differences between surgeons... I couldn't imagine how there wasn't some "standard" plan that people who have this surgery need to follow. I was just so confused as to why I was able to eat so much, when it seemed like everyone else could only eat a little... You're absolutely right though, I shouldn't freak out. I'm following the plan!

Thank you & best of luck to you!
