i have a friend, (no really) who had gastric sleeve surgery and lost around 100 pounds.  the surgery was about 3 years ago.  anyway she has gained back about 40 pounds and her dr. said he can go back in and do some adjustments to make the sleeve smaller? is this true? i have never heard of this.

I've heard of other people having this done, but I know it would be my last option.  Has she been tracking everything she eats?  It's so common, especially a few years out, for people to let their calorie intake creep up because they feel "safe."  It's easy to fall back into bad habits :(

yes the can but most of the time you just need to get back on plan , mine is for 500-800 cal , 80 gm protein, ~30 gm carbs (fruits and veggies ), 65+ oz liquid

there are people that go the sleeve in the begining when they gave you ds size sleeves 50f and larger and many of these people did great losing and keeping it off , small sleeves make it a little easier (32-36f) but it will work with any size sleeve , hell some people lose and keep it off with normal size stomachs 32+ oz

Yes they can do revisions, but my understanding is that it is essentially doing the whole thing over again.

This would also be my last resort.  With the sleeve you can still way overeat calories -- I'm not sure any amount of restriction could stop me if I was determined to eat around it.

Yes a larger sleeved stomach can be made smaller.

I was jus****ching this video on youtube with Dr. Alvarez about sleeve stretching. He said some sleeve stretching is known to happen. But what I found interesting is that to make sure if you plan to have the surgery, make sure the surgeon removes the fundus part of the stomach. This part of the stomach carries the most amount of the Ghrelin hormone (hunger hormone). Watch his video, very interesting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nv8X6H_jLgY.

I'm not sure how VSG could be done without removing the fundus part of the stomach..
