b*tch moan -- wah wah -- don't buy to many clothes!

I have been essentially in maintenance since June / July last summer.  I went a little crazy and bought a lot of clothes.  Over the winter I lived in sweaters & jeans b/c I was always freezing at work.

Well I have dropped a little more weight (5-10 lbs) over the winter & I guess tightened up everywhere.

I just broke out the spring outfits and my skirts are baggy!  Arg.  I should have listened to everyone.  I think I may have to drop to a size 8 in skirts.  That is insane to me.  But right now I look like a crazy lady wearing a bag around my hips.

I feel your financial pain.  I have limited myself to two pairs of dress pans for work and have to keep getting new ones.  I'm think I'm where I'm goiong to end up pants wise but I have another 16 lbs to go so I'm not 100% sure of that.  I have spent $600 in the past two weeks, spring jacket, shorts, short sleeve shirts, etc.  My job "requires" suits or sport jackets and I have not had one that fits since I lost 36 pounds my first month back in October.  I really want to go buy some new ones but I'm not made of money so I'm holding out.  I am really curious about maintenance too.  I only know one way to eat now and don't plan on changing, plus I'm way more active so once I reach goal I'm curious about if I will contine to lose or not.

One the good side doens't it feel great to just live and not gain weight?  Before, in my case, every social activity center around eatting and drinking, not any longer, which gives me confidence going forward.

Good luck with filling your closet :)

It feels amazing to live & not gain weight :)

I just got back from vacation -- where I enjoyed the food.  But I skied 2 - 6 hours everyday.  I actually lost 3 lbs on vacation!  Insane.

I keep thinking there is nothing left to go, but then some more does.  IDK.

I have to agree with Iloveravens, thats a wonderful place to be. I know its a bummer having to buy more clothes, but you're going down a size not UP!!! Awesome. Christine

Needed to see this in print, Stacy. I have been doing a bit more shopping then necessary for the spring/summer seasons. Last week I decided that I had enough new tee's a few pair of jeans, etc to get me through the next few months.

Thanks for the posting!

Umm on the good side summer clothes are a little cheaper so you won't have to spend so much and you must be at a size where consignment shops and thrift shops are an option. Take what doesn't fit to consignment shops to sell and give you some to spend on more goodies!!

I love/hate this problem! I'm glad my monthly "going down a size" event has coincided with spring clothes, but OMG, my wallet! And during the winter, I didn't mind spending my weekends selling my old clothes on eBay, but now it's nice out and I want to go out and garden...

It might be cheaper to get them tailored than to buy new ones?

I'm still so far away from goal, but I find that I'm buying more and more clothes right now than I ever have before!  Argh.
