OK, my American friends, first of Happy Belated Thanksgiving!  (Ours was in October)  I am always amazed at black Friday (since we really don't have it here in Ontario, Canada).  Tell me what you scored for good deals, I'd love to hear it!

I didn't think the deals were too hot this year.

We did buy a washer online. That deal was only available online. Our washer broke last week.

I bought a 5 piece luggage set for $49 but it's cheap luggage. It's normally $99 but I think it's only worth $49! Plus only 3 of the pieces are worth anything. It will fit our needs though. We'll get one more piece of decent luggage that will last forever and we'll be set for a while.

I also got Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Pt. 1 on Blue-ray for $6. That deal was also only online.

I got about 70% of my holiday shopping done today, but I don't think the bargains were as good as I've seen in past years.

I bought a new winter coat for myself that was down filled for about $42 (needed a new coat since I shrunk out of the old).  A necklace I wanted to buy for my mother in law was already sold out, and that was a bummer. The other stuff was really just decent sale stuff.  I've gotten to where I do my shopping on black Friday as a way to force myself to get on the ball for Christmas.

Oh yea, since the necklace was sold out for mother in law, I got her a really nice Alfred Dunner outfit for about $35, a pretty good deal.  I also found her some great DVDs one of which was only $1.

Wow, those deals just blow me away!  I did manage to score a blackberry playbook for $199  as well on line.  I'm still hoping to get to the US to get a $.49 per lb turkey!  It's a little over an hour to cross the border for me, so I do get the opportunity to get deals some times!
